  1. Thanks all. I agree that these should be seen and not locked away. Which i have done in the past.
  2. Thanks to many good friends. For making this possible in many ways.
  3. A couple of old wall hangers. A new type museum glass on fronts. UV protective glass on the backs. continued below
  4. The Salesman case is real. Only two known is true. Several of the marbles in the one for sale are not original to the case. It is still a very rare item. It would take some effort and could be some long time to fill the case correct. The other all original case was known and seen by some of us before the second case was discovered. I think Mr. Fisher backfilled a few lost marbles. Also from my info, there were some marbles yet missing when it was dicovered in Anacortes,in a desk drawer. Some other loose marbles also in the drawer were put into the case to fill it. The original full Alley salesman sample case is and will remain with the Alley family. The case listed is a rare item and lots of value. Some of the marbles needed to fill it correctly,i have never been able to locate so far. It may be possible to fill it correct but not a easy task or done in a short time. I was and still definately interested in this case and what happens to it. Good luck to any,if a winning bidder.
  5. Thanks for the pictures. Lots of friends and looks like good times.
  6. Dave was trying to get the blush or blend(i said it). Boyce L. was there and impressed with the blush or blending that Dave was able to get from a tank. Boyce may not be a marble making expert, but he is a glass expert. I don't use the expert word often.
  7. I will be waiting Griff. Have a safe trip and set the hook good. The reservation is made.
  8. I agree you can put two colors of glass together and get another color. Blue and yellow has been put together for green and many others. Sometimes done on purpose and sometimes not, over and over at Jabo. There is also crystal clear glass that when heated to a certian temp, makes a nice ruby red glass.
  9. I agree with Champion and they made several 3/4 New Old Fashioned.
