    5/8 WVS

I would put it with early Alley.
  3. We did for sure. You will not see many of this marble. This is the type one Green Lantern. Type one has one yellow ribbon. The type two Green Lanterns have two yellow ribbons. Either one is rare to find or even see in hand.
  4. Many people call or label the smaller Parrots as a Parakeet. Probably the first one to use the Parakeet name with a marble or Vitro marble was about 15-20 yrs. ago by the late Chuck Brandstetter. Chuck collected all marbles and was a Vitro authority. He called or labeled the 7/8 size Vitros with white base and three other colors as Parakeet. Because the Parrot was 7/8 size Vitro white base and four other colors. Parrot was four colors not including white. Parakeet was three colors not including the white, But later collectors started using the Parakeet name for small under 7/8 size Parrots.
  5. You can buy marbles from China any place in the world. Especially if you have internet.
  6. I agree right to left, Conqueror first one on the left.
  7. Bill McCaleb dug this marble at the Peltier factory site. Loaded with aventurine.
  8. Bill McCaleb dug this marble at the Peltier factory site. Peltier Green Lantern with aventurine.
  9. My best guess from pictures, it might be a Jackson.

    3/4 WVS

No it would still be Alley. But if it was 7/8 inch and had aventurine it would be the Alley Jolly Green Giant. I have seen these 3/4, but have not found this 3/4 with aventurine. So that still makes all the Jolly Green Giants as 7/8 inch. The Jolly Green Giant needs to have av. There is also the Alley Jolly Blue Giant. These are also 7/8 inch and needs to have av. Both colors of the Giants have the small bubbles and aventurine, plus made of soft glass. Most are dinged up with white hit marks.
  11. All look from China to me and the correct sizes.
  12. The two left Alley. The top right Heaton. The bottom right maybe CAC.

    3/4 WVS

Does it have aventurine along with all the small bubbles ?
  14. Just a nice Vitro Tri Lite for me. Four colors which many are. There are very very few 5.8 inch Parrots. The small Parrots look just like the larger ones. Some are twisted and some are not. Small 3/4 Parrots Parrots

    Peltier?

    Left is a Vitro Whitie.
  16. Those that came from Cairo have a dirty cream white base which glows very bright with a black light, even two feet away. I cannot tell if your marble glows or just a blue reflection from the black light being so close ? I am certain that the so named Ivory Reds were made by Davis Marble Works and or Jackson. Both Jacksons and Davis marbles are found at the Cairo Novelty site. Both were nearby Cairo and closed in one year or less. When Cairo Novelty likely bought some of their remaining stock or got it for free. The Jacksons have the same Vitrolite dirty white base which glows and are more red than the Davis. The Davis have the exact same Vitolite dirty white base which glows but most of the Davis are more orange and more narrow swirl that the Jacksons. Your marble looks a little to white base for Davis or Jackson. The dirty white base should glow bright from a good distance. This certain color Vitrolite cullet was very limited. Maybe photograph it with one or two other normal white base swirls. This limited dirty white Vitrolite cullet base glass will stand apart different from most white base WV swirls. Jacksons Davis
  17. I am with Jabo. I do not see enough purple for Akro. Plus i have never seen these purple and red Akro having that little bit of green or tan.
  18. I don't know what size it is or what the cullet has to do with the marble ? I would throw the bone at foreign to the US.
