  1. Pictures to far away for me to make a call.
  2. I think Vitro named 50 or more of the marbles they produced.
  3. Most or all of those Pyramid Cairo Novelty box sets have Marietta Ohio Paint Company associated with them. I know of three or four found so far.
  4. The right or left may depend on which end you view it from. Rotate your 9 and you can have a 6.
  5. Foreign to the U. S. . It is machine made.
  6. About 50% of every thing on those pages are not furnace marbles.
  7. The first is a Alley but not a bacon. Alley Bacon marbles base are opaque green or blue.

    7/8ths

    No other idea than Vitro.
  9. Champion - ??? Champion - ???
  10. I do not think they are Jabo. I don't ever remember those at Jabo. But I cannot remember them all at Jabo. The glass quality looks better than Jabo used most times. I do not think they are CAC. I would not call them corals. But I think they are probably Alleys. For sure same base color and striping colors that Alley used. Alleys that I have not seen. Never dug any of these at the Pennsboro site. They look a very busy pattern for most Alleys from the St. Marys site. I saw the tounge fold. I saw the big hooks ? or loops on the more plain one. I would put them with Alleys. I just don't know which factory location or time frame ? Those five should stay together.
  11. I am about 50-50 MFC or Akro ?
  12. That is a very rare box. The marbles are probably all MFC. The very first marbles Akro sold were made by MFC. It has the Akron Ohio address. Akro was not in Akron OH for very long. It has the two cents stamps. To bad the post mark date is gone. Be careful, that box is worth a few thousand dollars. Handle with care, it needs protected in a case and no hands touching it. Not Ebay rare, it is true rare. I am even more sure the marbles are all MFC. Your plastic bag buy looks like all modern marbles from Mexico and a few Imperial from Asia. The $2.00 price is about the max. No value for most marble collectors. I cannot sell them at any marble show or online for $2.00 . Nice for kids to play with.

It looks Master Tiger Eye but that very straight cut line is odd for Master. Plus the colors of the Master Tiger Eyes usually go deeper into the marble.
  14. The wood for that case above with Alleys came from my family farm. Made by a good friend of mine in PA. I have other cases made with wood from the factories. Chuck(cheese) made me a case with wood from the Heaton factory. The yellow band is the wrist band that each digger got once they paid to dig for the day.
  15. They can also be blue base. The swirl or stripe should be at least two or preferred three colors looking like bacon. I think all were made at the St.Marys site. They are not a real fancy, complex swirl or twisting. Just a simple swirl or twist around the surface. Like a simple or broken corkscrew twist.
  16. How many do you have ? What are the conditions ?
  17. I agree not easy to find and especially shooter 3/4 inch size.
  18. I am 55% chance Alley and 45% Ravenswood.
  19. No Alley Bacon and no Akros. Akro did not make swirl marbles as standard production. Alley Bacon
  20. What is the difference between a banded opaque and a Indian ?
