richsantaclaus
Hi everyone - I finally got time to shoot pix of a few mibs I was able to acquire from my Orange County Marble Show. So here goes.... I got a Guda Purcha, a hybrid cat's -eye with a trapped bubble inside the color vanes and a Christensen neon orange
richsantaclaus
Then here comes the corks... I especially liked the number of twists in the yellow cork, the two color of the red/orange cork, and the little yellow line in the last cork
richsantaclaus
Finally, the MK (I liked the bulls eye look) and the Master mib

richsantaclaus
Galen - why is that mib so special?
mmuehlba
Hi Rich I think it is a Master , it is the point that makes me think that . and I think you should trade for some very special hybrid cat eye marbles , but the cork is a nice auger . and I see you finely got your Guda Purcha . nice bunch . Mike here a few the pictures are older but even might have others some place you know my set up .
lstmmrbls
The pattern is just something I have never seen before. Has to be one in 10,000,
bumblebee
Thanks for throwing another good show, Rich. Here are some marbles I picked up there. Not pictured are several more 7/8" Vitro hybrids.
hdesousa
The pattern is just something I have never seen before. Has to be one in 10,000,000 Don't you think that pattern has to be cut? Either from glass cullet or from rock?
lstmmrbls
Sure looks like it Hansel, I am just going with the assumption it is a machine made marble. The more I look at it the more it appears to be mineral and the seam is a fault in the rock.
richsantaclaus
not mineral - it is a glass marble
lstmmrbls
got a pic of the other end Rich. The end shown just does not look like any kind of seam I have ever seen. As it continues down the side of the marble and is all wiggly unlike a shear mark. Maybe it is ground from cullet?
richsantaclaus
I'll post more pix of it tomorrow. Thanks
richsantaclaus
Here ya go. Notes: there is a little air bubble trapped on the bottom and the light bent making the top appear as cracked but it isn't. The views are top, bottom, right side, left side, front and back. lstmmrbls
With those pics Gotta go with my original assumption. Neat Marble! (weird seams though)
