hdesousa
Here's one. Not mine and I've not seen it before. Sold on eBay several weeks ago: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-VINTAGE-AKRO-AGATE-MARBLE-BOX-Akro-Agate-Box-Sleeve-Pre-1927-/201345280584
Dustyman73
My Akro 250 art deco box with moss agates. The bag is very old, but it doesn't look like the bags Akro put in these boxes, so not likely the original bag.Vintage Box of Akro Agates by Dusty_73, on Flickr

bumblebee
Hey you guys! I was trying to do a legit box thread! This will keep happening until you make a "Known and Possible Fake Akro Agate Boxes" thread...it's all the rage right now!
Steph
My guess for the one Greg posted is a modern repro box from the people who re-registered the Akro trademark -- remember those guys? And then maybe it was messed up a little so it looked older. .... anyone save the photos of the known repro from when we were talking about the repro company registering the trademark? I know I did somewhere, but can't think of how to search for it. Edit: I found the photo I was looking for. The sample pictured with the trademark registration is not identical to the box Greg posted. But it's a good reminder of what is out there. Going to post it in another thread. And the box Greg posted is still a mess! aiyiyi
