bermar
I am having a dilly of a time trying to get a good picture of this little 17/32" marble from Clyde's collection. Transparent base with oxblood, green, and white swirling. No glow. Quite dark in hand until I put a bright light on it and then it's a beauty. The camera, and my questionable skills just won't cooperate. Help. Thank you. Burt

disco005
The feathering on that Oxblood is very curious, I'm thinking maybe polished ?
lstmmrbls
What color is the base Back lighted? Dark Green? I think I remember that marble.
bermar
That's a puzzle, Galen. As I turn the marble, the transparent base seems to change from green to red. Maybe different reflections from the internal swirls.

ann
Not a Jabo...still wondering. Thanks all, for accepting this assignment. Class is not ended yet. Would a brick have a transparent base? They're rare, but they're there . . . Transparent green, and . . . never seen one myself, but in the last edition of his book Paul Baumann illustrates a brick with transparent colorless base . . . lstmmrbls
I believe MFC did have a wonderful Ox on clear sometimes called a Crystal Oxblood. One of the rarest.

sclsu
I am trying to find them, but it looks like the ones I have that I have found so far that were similar are all 3/4" and look to have adventurine in them. Still look kinda alike to me
