DINDO
Just wondering what others think of them? I recentlyish aquired a 2.4" onionskin. Never seen such a large marble in person before. Its kind of cool just for the size and it pops in the display. But now i feel it just doesnt look like a marble. I dont want another.
wvrons
Old or contemporary ?
DINDO
Its old. I just think imo that they become glass sphere decoration rather then marbles at that size.

Greatmacscott
I heard that the larger marbles could be used as crawly toys for toddlers. The marbles would be rolled to the kids to make them crawl/walk and they couldn't be swallowed. It makes a good story. Any pictures of the giganto marble? DINDO
It comes in at 2.39. Has been polished. The other pics are nicer ones. I like the big ones for the grandness.

Steph
Something for me to dream about ... and watch out for. Funny, I used to purchase large glass orbs many years ago ... before I collected marbles ... but I got them as gifts for my teenage brother. DINDO
I got that big 1 for 35. It has some damage and been polished. For all i know it may be not be old. It looks like an old 3 panel to me but i always have a lingering doubt with repos and moderns. I wanted a big specimen but cant afford big prices so im happy to have it. I'llhavethat1
looks vintage to me, and the surface isn't as nice (smooth) as what you'd expect after polishing, but seeing a couple pics on a computer is much different than having it in hand.
