Locks like it could be a piece of Imperial, some of their stuff doesn't have any marks on it. Or maybe a repro toothpick, nonetheless a nice piece

William
Scored! No mibs but scooped up these Akro pieces and a slag mini pitcher or creamer? It's not marked so unsure if it's Akro but still nice!Β
Chad G.
Killer !! hey you found some, I've only found about 15 pieces since January & i been lookin hard. The 3 blue octagonal are kro for sure. I have a hobnail pitcher just like yours only red & orange slag w/ swirls of white, nit sure what itΒ is but I like it !! Not a very good pic of it, right in the middle of a pileΒ of Akro ware, Imperial & some other stuff Best pic I can salvage right now, looks like we been mining in the same mountain !! I'm like you, I sure wish that piece of hobnail was marked ?? Β
William
A question about slag glass...I saw a beautiful candy dish, an opaque base with tons of different shades of purples and a sprinkling of orange and red. The dome shaped lid is in the likeness of an eagle. Man it was nice. Seller wants around $75 for it. The manufacturer that is listed on the tag is Westmoreland and this particular one was made in 1977. Is there any connection at all between Westmoreland and Akro? Wondering because I know that Westmoreland goes back more than 100 years (I also saw a candy dish, opaque amber with a lion on top) marked at aroundΒ $100. It's tag says 1898. Thought I would ask too see if anyone has any knowledge of a connection.

Chad G.
These are called "Concentric Ribbed" I have a set of white ones just like yours with a turquoise ribbed pitcher./ I noticed the crow logo on yours & mine as well are very detailed, much more so than other pieces of Akro ware. Same # 12 highly visible on mine to, wish I could get my hands on or referenceΒ guide to the meaning of each number ?? I know there are a couple complete guides to Akro ware & other Akro products, both by Roger & Claudia Hardy, maybe I'll go ahead & get themΒ ?? You may recognize the first names ?? The VVHTF "Jolly Roger" giant cork & the "Claudia" both Akro marbles named after them.
