I googled "Summit slag glass Oscar the lion" says & shows it's a paperweight not a lid like the Westmorland or Imperial pieces. According to the V circle stamp showing on the bottom it is "Summit"

It is Akro Friday and I do not know if I should post it here or on another post such as a “big score”.

This is the place to be IMHO.

My wife and I have been collecting Akro-ware for almost forty years and this is believe it or not, the first complete "Scotty Dog Matched Pair top and bottom" That we have been able to find without the ears chipped. Watch for the ears on this one, they are commonly missing a flea bite or two.

Akro Friday works for me—I found these all today with change from two twenty’s.

Akro-Ware—On!!!

Just checked a few other pieces and it's the same two backwards lettering on them also. I only notice it on the bigger pieces, but not all.

I haven't looked at everything yet, maybe I have some smaller pieces with the same misspelling...can't recall if I ever noticed this before. Same weird thing as the "backwards" crow!

Yeah !! kinda weird how they only got a few letters backwards in the middle of the word, I bet some worker really got chewed out for that one ??

FWIW, 2 out of 4 of my No. 657 Double Lilly Planters show the same backwards letters . . .

Good eye William.

One out of four had the backwards thing going on in my house. I had never noticed it before either.

A new thing to search for--Thanks!!

Seems somewhat common but interesting!

The Lilly Planters and the Lilly vases are the two most common finds in my world. They do show up with some weird color combos and base glass though.
Here is an example of one of the repo Lily vases. It just could be an earlier version as Akro purchased these molds from another company (Westite). It has a big clunky base to it. I appears to be Black amethyst but it is actually amber when backlit.
Funny thing, the two akros on either side both have backwards letters as you described.
Here I go, turning over Akroware the rest of the day. (they all need dusting anyway)
