I would settle for just the book at this point.  :(

Yes, this book has skyrocketed out of it's mind pricewise.

I am on my third one--I purchased two originals for trades and the third one---- I just recently purchased on an auction here to build up the money pool for the MarbleConnection board--(Thanks Steph!)

I am sorry that you missed out. They may be cheaper at a show-keep an eye out for sure.

Why not issue another run? It’s currently selling for almost 10 times the. Original price. Print a thousand copies and sell at $30.

are the authors really trying to educate the hobby or just plain greedy?

I am sure that greed has nothing to do with it at all.

Producing a book is not an easy venture and I am sure that plenty of grey hairs were inherited through this venture.

I am sure that the folks that produced this book wished for a higher number of the original books to be sold to individuals.(rip Geno Biffany)

This book is now a classic and just like Super Bowl tickets, more were purchased to be sold than originally Intended by the authors. This of course was not the intention of the authors and they gain nothing from it other than stardom from us crazy marble collectors.

The Green Bay Packers just recently announced that some season ticket holders that sold instead of attending would be dismissed and the long(very long) line that wanted season tickets would be moved up.

This is the way of the world--sad to say.

I would never blame the authors for this craziness.

The publisher determines the number of copies of a printing, not the authors.  The authors definitely didn’t get rich, even if Sami sold a few extra copies at marble shows.

Who owns the copyrights?

This implies the authors own the copyrights? The site listed in the 2016 thread by Sami indicates he does. The site for it, peltierglasstoymarbles.com is dead.

I bid on 55 marble lots and only won 3 but I am glad. I was lacking these Marble King Rainbows in my collection and they may be quite common but they have a certain nostalgic value for me. These were the kind in my bag, the Vitro's too and the rest that I played with were cats eyes.

I can't wait til I get my shipping bill and pay for them. I think I did OK and many of the lots I passed on went quite high. This hobby is very alive and well.

Total marbles on the way soon comes to just over 800! woo hoo!
