Fire1981
One of those Pelts that could have been a single ribbon Rainbo. It didn’t quite make it.
akroorka
Ok Fire, I am back on the Akro train with this one. Double ingot--probably an experimental (dug) marble. Blow holes are not exclusive to Pelts. I just call them like I see them-- Marble--On!!
Fire1981
This one came from the dig in Ottawa.

Ric
I agree with double ingot, doubt Akro though. A weird dug Pelt maybe?
Fire1981
Mike Barton gave me this one from his dig at the Peltier dig sight he was part of in Ottawa.

Ric
That's the one. Looks more like an odd Vitro than an odd Pelt to me.

Fire1981
These Steelies which are nothing but ball bearings were in the bucket as well. Unless they are hollow. I don’t call these Steelies.
Ric
I like the new marble word for those that Chad brought up, "Baldys".

wvrons
Thats strange, in over twenty years digging at many sites, many times and three states. I have never dug a ball bearing with marbles. I always see them in jars and collections but never dug one.

Chuck G
Many many things were dug at the factory sites, which was tossed out even though some say(from different makers), so what a person comes up with for their collection is deemed for some great discussions. Your third photo does look to be close to a (double ingot), not saying it is, but could very well be cold roll marks. Dug at Ottawa, does not necessarily mean Peltier. I have examples that i am not sure if they are Peltier or not that came from (digs). I have in my collection one real close to yours, in excess of well over an inch but ONLY half a black ribbon on one side. Yours show a cast of inky blue where mine is black. One may think Akro, but who knows, as many questions do come about being dug at Peltier. My thoughts and opinions, is not this fun!!!
