akroorka
All three are nice marbles with another one pushing towards being a "Parrot". Poor mans "Parrot" maybe😁. I like it! Marble--On!!
Carowill
The Vitro has Purple, Yellow, Green and Orange and very little white. Why wouldn’t this be a Parrot?
Gladys
I guess the rules frown upon white, in the Parrot / that is why akrooka said poor mans" Parrot" it is but? not what collectors want maybe? very nice marbles regardless! I lov them all!
Carowill
Please see wvrons post from March 31 regarding Parrots. Thanks.
akroorka
This is a good example of collectors determining what is and what is not. Parrot collectors mainly look for full coverage with little or no white and the prices paid reflect that. All pricing aside, Leigh’s two posts had two marbles that were intended or manufactured as “Parrots”, both are very nice and there is no reason at all not to collect them as Parrots. A bunch of these together would be a beautiful sight to see. Some folks are fussy, some, like me are not but sometimes I am guilty of going with the flow---sometimes😁. Marble—On!! Carowill
I appreciate your thoughts! We are all trying to learn more about what we love; marbles. I definitely agree that some marbles are considered a specific “type” or have a specific name, but that doesn’t mean they are equally desired by collectors. Marble-on!!

Fire1981
Collect what you want. I have plenty of marbles that aren’t consider collector’s choice. If you’re selling marbles that’s a different subject. Good examples are always cool if you’re not a Seller 🔥
Fire1981
Washed out Parrots just don’t talk as much as the full coverage ones. 🔥
wvrons
Peltier MCS Champion New Ole Fashion Vitro Parrot Parrots can have white base showing. The four or five colors full coverage of the white base are just more desirable same as the Parrots with aventurine are more desirable. You can collect anything and call it anything. But I prefer to use as a guide what the plant manager at Vitro who was responsible for the production of Parrot marbles. Plus Parrots being his most favorite marble. I will use what he used as requirements for a marble to be labeled as a Vitro Parrot.
