NeozLilBallz
The green is bubbly and transparent, and the white is milky and translucent

ann
I think PPP too, and it kinda looks like oxblood. Makes sense, with that green -

ann
Don`t know. I have a couple PPPs with oxblood, but they`re both opaque glass. I`ve only bought the oddball PPPs occasionally, so someone else - maybe cheese - would be better to answer that for you.
Ric
I have (or maybe had) the same marble. I don't think it was oxblood - more like horsehair.

chicagocyclist
When I look at these I compare them against the original PPP box, which just shows a solid color with an opaque patch. Perhaps these translucent patches were later but it doesn't strike me as part of the original group.

A color is just being added or a color is just running out! So with that being the case, to me it actually is cooler cuz it freezes a moment in time!
Chad G.
I found this to be a pretty good discussion on some bizarre colored PPP's. I've had quite a few PPP's w/ oxhair in them, often bordering between the patch & the base glass. ann
That hair line can be the result of a chemical reaction, but it also can be oxblood. Usually hard to distinguish the two since it`s so dark and so - well - hair thin. I think it`s a bonus either way too.

Fire1981
This marble has 2 Horse Hairs. Here’s the kicker. I’ve chased this one around with the 30x loupe and found out they run parallel to each other and never cross. Any idea on the ID? Vitro Swirl? 🔥
Fire1981
I hope I’m not hijacking this thread posting about Horse Hair instead of Oxblood🔥
Steph
I'm all in on it being Pelt. I think the translucent base on the patches tends to be later, but still in the 1930's.

Ric
Not to say it isn't often cool, but I think horsehair can be just a streak of some contaminant in the glass stream, and that it's usually unintentional. And I'm thinking maybe Heaton for Rick's marble.
Da Roberto
Yes, almost certainly Heaton, there are quite a few like that Many times they are contaminating strips, but sometimes it could be oxblood kept too long in the furnace thus losing the classic color
wvrons
Heaton did make a big number of swirls with horsehair. Lots of the horsehair, some call oxblood, at Heaton was actually from maroon Vitrolite cullet. I found lots of the cullet and matched big numbers of the horsehair with the maroon Vitrolite with 20 and 30X loupe.
