Fire1981
1 and 1/8. Really crude surface glass and I’m still try to find some seams. Is it a Vacor? 🔥
Fire1981
In hand it’s not colder then stone or ceramic marbles 🔥
Chad G.
Foreign and not glass IMO I believe it's lightly glazed (clay) "hammer time" .....
Fire1981
I doesn’t match up with my multiple colored Benningtons. I guess it must be a more modern marble🔥
Steph
I can't place it, new or old. I really need to pull out my books that would re-teach me about older ceramics.
akroorka
What is the chunky thing that I circled? It kinda looks like a chunk of glass. That is one strange marble--pretty cool. Marble--On!!
Chad G.
I have a load of these in all different colors, never found any glass & they are clay, it looks like the glaze was splattered on them, maybe by a machine ?? At any rate all of them I've received have been from overseas, Euro somewhere ??

I agree on the clay or ceramic part for sure. Crazy---On!!
Ric
I have seen similar marbles. As far as I know, they are a fairly modern attempt to reproduce antique Benningtons. The colors tend to give them away, although I have seen wishful-thinking people pay a premium for them thinking they are authentic.
Fire1981
At least someone gave it a shot. I don’t think these were made with the intent to pass them off as Benningtons. 🔥

Jeff54
I have a bunch of these 11/16"ceramic shooters too. They are fairly easy to find in German Ebay. These and metal wrapped colored aluminum, in appearance, and unglazed seem to be within the same time frame, like, 70's or 80's. East German makes them a little interesting. The color splotches look like just plain paint, maybe gloss enamel. They're all mint so; I am too afraid to scratch any in case they are.
