I need more opinions--simple as that.

I believe its a JABO Classic that went through a time warp to Fire1981's childhood.  I have heard it so many times it has to be real (time machines).

Thanks Nantucketdink----

WOW ! I know how old I was and if I do the math I was 11. I only had about 200-300 marbles from those days. Here a few of them that I have in my original childhood collection in a separate box. I never sorted them out when I got back into collecting. So there ya have it 🔥

Very special to have your childhood marbles. Lots got pitched by moms when the kids moved out.

The Crown Jewel. 1969 Minnesota Christmas present. I can’t script this. My Great Grandma who was basically blind called he over and handed me this marble wrapped in TP. The rest is mushy but it’s all because of one marble. 🔥

So….Nantucket? Are you in a round about way trying to say I’m not telling the truth on the time line of my marbles? Can you clue me in on what you mean by Time Traveling Jabo ? 🔥

I don't think he's accusing you of lying.  I think he's just commenting on how new marbles have a way of creeping into old collections.  People can be convinced they're all old and still new ones managed to get it.  No lies involved.

I have a question for you -- when did your mother pass these along to you?

I have a question for Josh -- if you're seeing Jabo, do you have an idea of which year it might be?

And I have a question for everyone else -- what would your top three guesses be for this marble?  Even if your top guess is Jabo, what are two other makers it looks closest to?

We have a local store with a local history section. Large fire in 1870 or so, with the recovered items. 3 marbles, one Bennington and 2 Pelt Rainbos.

this is how histories get warped. Now, trying to correct the dating gets you kicked out of the store🤣🤣🤣

Upton Sinclair quote” It is hard to teach a person something when their salary depends on them not knowing it.”

truer words were never spoken!

The hand made is from the German side of my family. I only had about 10 marbles at the time when my Great Grandma knew I liked marbles. As before and after this I kept collecting marbles. I don’t understand what “there’s the truth” means as well. I’ll wait to hear what Nantucket can tell me about that one as well🍿🔥

The top two left marbles are examples from the stage of the 2003 3/4” run of JABOs that created the marbles that look like this.  I have no desire to attack anyone’s memories…but I do want JABOs to be correctly IDed/attributed.  This exact situation has come up many many times before and I am trying to help without starting conflict.  Any chance maybe there was also a Pelt in that size and colors in your collection too?  They are similarish.  Maybe there is another maker’s marble just like this too in color and size…it’s possible.

Proof not truth, is what I said.  You showed an excellent picture of the marble with the others and are positive it is old which means there really is a Time Machine in existence if it’s a JABO.
