I am tagging along with my husband for his Carnivore Diet so unfortunately it was bland meat meat and meat lol...

Thought I absolutely love a BLT in the summer...

I love to bake, these are the things I made( for our kiddos neighbors etc)

Pumpkin Crumble Monkey Biscuits

Homemade Cinnabuns

And Homemade Apple pie

(I'm a smidge old fashioned so I even grind my own grain to make my own flour for  pastries breads and sweet treats)

I find immense pleasure/distraction in baking hehe. I love fudge but have yet to try my hand in it, any pointers ? :)

I'll have to give you my recipe when I get home. The key is to keep stirring. I love to bake too. I use to take pitcures everytime I baked something.

I love making the sweet candies. Potato candy aka peanut butter swirl

Buckeye balls

And gonna try my hand on peanut brittle.

So exciting!!! Thank you!

Yum I love a good buckeye (though ho do you not have a hole lol) I always have to use a toothpick and leave a literal hole 😂😂😂

I love taking photos I have an album printed my kiddos choose from when they want me to bake heh makes it more fun for them.

Peanut Brittle is a favorite of mine and love making it!!! I often make candied cashew/almond nut dust to sprinkle on the top 🙃

When you Make it take a photo and show us hehe

When I make em I usually don't make a hole. I use a spoon for mine. My kids say mine taste like Reese cups

These are the ones I made for my husband's office lol see the hole 😂😂😂😂 I need to try this spoon technique 🤫🫢

🤓Have you ever made Saltine Candy Crackers?

My grandmother had a recipe in her book I tweaked it...

Butter/Brown Sugar almost to a boil poured over saltines and baked till just getting crisp..

I take bacon chop it up sprinkle over and top with melted chocolate

(I like to keep them in the fridge for a cool yummy treat) totally addictive and a great party snack not that I have parties lol 😆

Thank you Steph!!

🫣If anyone loves Empanadas

Empanada Pie is it's Grandma hehe🤣🤣🤣

Traditional Pie Crust/lattice Work

Filling is: Steamed Jasmine Rice as a bottom layer (or plain rice whatever you prefer)

On Top of the rice is Meat filling is: a Sofrito base Marinaded Meat

traditional sofrito consists of:

  • head garlic, peeled/chopped

  • 2 medium onions, peeled/chopped

  • 1 red bell pepper, stemmed & seeded

  • 2 green bell peppers, stemmed & seeded

  • 2 large tomatoes (or I sometimes used canned steamed and peeled)

  • 1 bunch cilantro leaves

  • 1/2 bunch fresh parsley leaves

I blend them(or pulse) in any sort of blender

The key is to *Marinade the meat for at least 12-/24 hours then cook it in a sauce pan put it all together (with the pie crust/rice) & in between the layers I put cheese

So Pie crust cheese/rice/cheese/meat/pie crust lattice work(the cheese helps the layers stick together, it's easier for serving)

(You can egg wash it or leave it be)

Bake at 450 until the pie crust is cooked and I like to top it off with sprinkles cheese and cilantro  🤗
