Pieces
Found this in a previously unopened box today. I thought I knew what it was, then I thought I knew again, then again....now I'm down to "it's pretty!" I think I've now over thunk it & just need to ask what it might be.

Pieces
Exactly my problem, I've thought both! Cannot find a maker's mark, been trying both through a loupe & macro lens zooming in
boris64
Not sure! If it is a German handmade it’s a Joseph coat . One with the look I never seen before

Chad G.
Has the looks of a type of Submarine Joseph Coat but I've never seen one that big ?? It may be the end of cane "something" or a cane worked contemp. just hard to tell, I do see a bit of hitmark damage. Whether that's from dropping it or not I don't know. Wish I had a more definitive answer for you "Weird"
TheVacorFan
Agree with Chad. Looks like a German Handmade, but then again, could be new.
I'llhavethat1
Surprised nobody else has chimed in. If it's vintage (which it's looking that way to me from the pics) it's one heck of a marble. Meaning you'd literally see dozens of 2"+ handmades (which arent that common to begin with) before you'd come across an example like this. If you've got a marble show or reputable collector in your area I'd encourage someone to take closer look "in hand", to evaluate. 1
