I'd say it was made in a Tri-Onyx Agate run ... so it should be called a Popeye. That's a good example for the discussion of paradoxes created by collector names. Also I wonder if they were sold in Imperial boxes.
disco005
Popeye it is The photo is labeled as a Popeye should be easy to remember. And the second marble, I never even considered it being an Imperial, but now that you mention it......
J_Ding
Outstanding! That's the run of Snakes/Onyx we've been waiting for. Some really fine examples certainly, and excellent shots too. I have the sibling of that orange one you remarked about on page 7. The darker orange tan areas on my specimen are AV. I have to get shots of mine and post too. Only found type once. jeeperman
Everyone is posting great images and great marbles! Winnie, simple is sometimes beautiful as you have shown, and I might add, we know it is not easy to photograph an Ace and get it looking as nice as you have. =}

jeeperman
This is one of my favorite Akro. I call it a Burnt Silver Oxblood Sparkler Type. That's a mouth full but it has a lot going on.
disco005
Wow- I can't stop looking at that one, it should have made production.
disco005
I thought this one was unusual enough to add here, I love the color combination, would love to find more. The blue base is almost translucent. Light doesn't really pass through it but I can see where the edges of the orange sink into it.
