Ric
Robin's Egg Colors are similar to (but different than) Alley's Blue Sky.
Steph
Neat. When I first started posting, that one was considered special but seeing yours I now realize it's been a long time since I've heard much about that particular Heaton. cheese
I need to go through my "not alleys" pile of swirls and pull out some more heatons. I like this one a lot though:
Steph
Coolness. And I should take a picture of my handful of Heatons.
cheese
These just got IDed as likely Heaton by Ron:
Steph
Never would have guessed. Such nice soft colors.
jeeperman
7/8 shooter glows like crazy.
Steph
Cool to see a Heaton big guy. I must remember this moment. But it'll probably slip my mind again. Big marbles from smaller makers just can't seem to stick in my head.
Ric
Nice ones . . . thanks Bill! Some others . . .

ManofKent
Heaton Big Shot Cat Eye's I probably won't open the bag as I'm not convinced they're distinguishable from other four vane cat eyes of the period:
Steph
Good call! I think the translucent on the green might be a clue ... but basically ... good call. Definitely better together.
ManofKent
More bagged Heaton's - common or garden clearies (I like clearies ): If anyone is mad enough to try and identify clearies. The green on these is more intense than my Vitro Aqua Jewels, but the deep blue and clear are pretty much indistinguishable. Similarly lightly bubbled. The yellow ones do show a definite darker tone in a small part of the marble - the colour isn't quite perfectly evenly spread, but this isn't immediately obvious at a quick glance. Steph
I never even think about Heaton when I think about clearies. In some portion of my mind I realized they made clearies -- for industrial purposes. I didn't know they bagged 'em for play.

To my eyes the green one is quite Cairo like in some aspects - a useful reminder of how an atypical example of either manufacturer could be confusing! cheese
Good point, I had considered Cairo too on that one but the colorless clear part going down into the base and the transparent green wide area said Heaton to me. I did get a second opinion before posting but nothing is always 100% and these have no provenance, so...

I'm not sure the colourless clear area points me either way but agree on the transparent green area definitely pointing that way. I'm really struggling with swirls! Steph
I often feel okay about saying "Cairo or Heaton" without feeling like a can go further.
ManofKent
I bought some dug Heaton's in an effort to improve my swirl identification skills... I'm not sure it's working, but I'll photograph and post some close-ups of the individual marbles for other's reference
