  1. I think the moral is,something you do not know you should stay away from,if that makes sense??
  2. I also can't read it,you have to use your imagination,i thought it was funny.
  3. that sure is nice, maybe a silly question but i can't believe it's taken outside this time of year.
  4. Just as eggie,i also thought Moss agates are a type of Patch, maybe i'm wrong i'm Dutch too and don't know much about American marbles LOL. Steph are you sure the marbles in the box are Moss agates,to me they look more like Ades?? Eggie nice find!!
  5. Oh thats too bad,i thought i finely had found someone who knew where all my patches come from LOL Darla i've looked and didn't find a patch like that between my unknown patches.
  6. Saw this on the net,it's as you can see new glass,as it was mentioned.
  7. Orbboy, how do you know Europe have made patches, and if so where and who have made them?
  8. Darla,I like that large ball!! Thats a good question,i think i get too many marbles,i really have to clean up. I use to give them to my grandsons and their freinds, but they are too old now to play with marbles. The nice vintage beat up i use to put in jars, they are full and i don't want more jars. When i start to collect i love all the vintage marbles they were all special for me,i have to admit my taste changed in the years,i don't need boxes full of the same common marbles. So i'm going to think carefully what i really want. What makes it a little different is that i love so many different marble type's made by different companies.

    Jabo?

It's a nice marble but too difficult for me to give an ID.
  10. Don't know in what category i fit. I like to learn as much as possible of the beautiful American machien made marbles,in return,i would love it if i could teach you something about foreign marbles, thats all it is for me.
  11. What do you think, should i put it in my WV swirl box or in my unknown swirl box?? Steph, the base glass is bright red transparant.
  12. It looks opalescent but I'm not sure if it's opalescent or translucent. The base is red when backlichting.
  13. It's from the same group as the blue Alley,it's 5/8
  14. I thought so too but i doubt because it's different from the muchrooms i have,if you don't recognize it as American made it could be Japanese. When it's a muchroom i have to say,the Japanese have made some nice quality patches.
  15. Found this one in Holland,in the same group as the Blue Alley with AV-. There were only vintage marbles in that group. It's a hair under 5/8. What do you think American made or Japanese?
  16. I'll do Al,i go there once a week to score for my addiction LOL,it's a second hand shop in a little village.
  17. I think i've found a blue Alley with av here in Holland,is it?
  18. Still 9 and a half hours to go into the old year. Can't wait to see the firework, from my window i have a wonderful view of it. Happy and healthy 2015.
  19. This is what i understand of a veneered patch,a layer of glass on top of a substrate of glass, how they made that is beyond me. Here's an example of a veneered patch.
  20. Maybe that beautiful group of red transp- slags from Prospector are Canadian?? I remember Roger has some of them.
