  1. Hi SYND, Ron is a great teacher and historian of the WV swirls. With the many years he's put into the research of these companies and the information he's passed along, more people have come to appreciate the beauty these really hold as well as the history behind them. Some of us have noticed that within the past 6-12 months, there have been less listings on ebay for specific manufacturers, less listings for WV Swirls. I believe this is due to the increase in interest and the increase in appreciation. More people are studying these types as well. A BIG Thank You to Ron, Bill and those who have traveled the roads, asked the questions, dug the ditches and gone that extra mile to bring this knowledge to all of us. Good luck on your quest SNYD...it'll be a fantastic trip! :-) Felicia

  19. I've been pondering these things for some time now and yanno, there's only so many colors on the planet, then put it into glass, then only so many types of compatable glasses, then there's this little orb that tries to contain that, so what I think is that somewhere along the way, you're gonna get some that have a similarity, whether you try for it or not, it's gonna happen from time to time. It's still something beautiful that someone will be able to look at and enjoy. There's simple beauty in a small glass orb or a walk through the park or a meadow, watching clouds and finding images.... And this new run....too kewl! :-) Felicia
  20. Howard and family! Good to see you! I don't know about prices but that sure is a big marble there...They're all kewl. Maybe you'd know better if you went and saw them if it's worth the money? A nice Spring drive can be just as fun as where you are going to end up. Take Howie, he's part of the future of the hobby, he'll help ya decide. :-) Felicia
  21. Happy Birthday Bo!! Here's wishing you a spectacular and blessed day! :-) Felicia
  22. Fantastic pics folks! And according to the American Machine-Made Marbles book, Akro started in 1910, so this would make it a centennial celebration...how kewl is that! :-) Felicia
  23. Hi Delotronic, Have you checked out House of Marbles? http://www.houseofmarbles.com/the-house-of-marbles-at-bovey-tracey There was also the Tinsley Green marble tournament over there. It's traditionally held every year on Good Friday. There are a few people here who are in the UK and I think some have mentioned going to shops, flea markets and car boot as places to find marbles...although, I'm not sure if any Jabo's would be there. Jabo's are nifty and fun marbles to look at, that's for sure. Couldn't tell you about the future but I pray only good things for Jabo. Maybe if you keep looking around ebay and compare prices? Then maybe ask here if this is a person of good reputation and someone can let you know? :-) Felicia
  24. Fantastic Rich! So nice and tidy looking there in those tubes. :-) Felicia
