OMG! Save the Alley marble from concrete!! Poor marble

Those are lovely! Two possibilities I can think of...Both early types..One is Japanese made and the other is Vacor de Mexico (They made 3 vane/3 color, bright colored, in clear glass marbles and they made some 6 vane, 3 color, 3 V types. Many of their cat's have heavy, wavy vanes which fill a large percentage of the marble.) :-) Felicia

Sadly to say, Patry has passed on, therefore her amazing cat's-eye pictures are lost (as far as I know). A "vane" is probably what you are calling a spine. Most folks say vane although blade has been used. (Think of the vanes as petals of a lovely flower) I think some post pictures are gone due to hosting problems or something with computer stuff or folks just didn't keep them on their system.
