  1. You're fairly new to this hobby, Melissa, once you've collected for 10 years and haven't seen another one you'll be even happier with your decision. 🙂
  2. Me too - there are a bunch of nice marbles in this run. It was the first real (not a test) run at Sammy's.

I doubt the extra surface color was intentional so I also doubt that it is common.
  4. Hmmm . . . I don't think it's a slag, it sorta looks like a weirded-out Akro to me, but it might be a WVS.
  5. Thanks, Rick, I've got a whole league in the archives. lol
  6. I think the peach-faced ones may be even less common than black, and "oxblood" stripes are less common too.
  7. I think it's a wacky Pelt - it looks like it has a fold in that "swallowed" some of the structure.
  8. No, they're pretty common. Certain colors are harder to find than others though.
  9. Now I'm totally confused . . . Which is which?
  10. It's a Vitro Helmet with on off-center stripe.
  11. Marble Buddy's 1st Edition (Sammy Hogue and Dave McCullough), 09-25-2012.
  12. Experimental Pre-JABO Joker J*E*R*K run, 05-17-2008. Dave Mc Cullough and Jack Rogers (RIP) using Sammy Hoque's AV. "Sammy's Big Brother" 3/4".
  13. JABO Special Run by Dave McCullough and Ron Shepherd (RIP), 11/28/2010. The marbles are 7/8"-15/16".
  14. I think they are both Pincers too. They do have a Vitro vibe but the patch/ribbon configurations and seams are wrong for Vitro, IMO.
  15. No rules broken, this slag is just on the opposite end of the white:base ratio spectrum than that purple one you posted - sweet marble too!
  16. Smart girl, IMO. And If one day you decide to part with it, I think you will easily find a good home for it.

@Akro75 It's a great box. I can't wait to see it full. Try to use Tomatoes for the red ones! The 7/8" are quite a bit easier to find than the 5/8" ones.
  18. This is all very interesting and I just want to say that I am enjoying the education, so thanks!
  19. @Melissa They're all nice, Melissa, but those last two are great!
  20. Very nice, Chuck! Nice Gar too!
  21. @Melissa In the end, I completely agree with Chad. It is your peewee and you are the one who imparts a value on it. You should do what makes you happy. But you should understand that you may never have an opportunity to own another one. I'll bet the person wanting to trade realizes that.
  22. I would say your peewee is way harder to find than player size. I would not even consider an even-up trade.
  23. Thanks, Chad - that helps. Great statue!
