  1. Nice marbles, Dave - the second one is really great!
  2. Great group of marbles, Gladys, and your photos are sooo good!
  3. It just keeps getting better, Joep!
  4. That is a super marble, Bill - the orange peel is great! It's like 1 1/4" too, isn't it?
  5. Bullet molds are historically associated with Czechoslovakia (the Czech Republic or Slovakia now). Here's an old one . . . I have no idea who might be making them now though.
  6. You did it, Art! And I'll bet you're glad you did. I'm jealous now because I want a try too!
  7. I wouldn't mind seeing it back-lit, but not too brightly.
  8. I kinda liked the "tweener" idea, I think it had its place.
  9. What a great video - lots of my favorite marbles. Many thanks to Nola for sharing her collection and to Stephen for another great production!
  10. I would urge caution since I am pretty sure I've seen similar JABOs.

They are the same, as far as I can tell. But I think that's very weird pumpkin-colored striping for a Pelt and the seams aren't very Pelt-like either, IMO. Having said that, I am certainly no Pelt-head so maybe it's just a very strange type.
  12. It's like Roberto said, imagine taking a small piece of wire, folding it into a spherical shape and sticking it in a marble. lol
  13. Okay, so I still haven't been able to lay my hands on that Pink "Bennington" but I did find an old pic. For this thread, you can certainly ignore the marble on the left - it's an early American. And I am sure there's a reason I photographed these two together - you might want to ignore the one on the right too. lol
  14. Very cool, Chad - kinda different and bubbleicious!
  15. The main reason I worry about them is because I don't think I ever saw one until about 8 years ago or so, and now this? When did you find your first one? And I have never seen a damaged one. Have you? I am worried they are new. Maybe a JABO investor run or something.
  16. The beads are very cool, Joep.
  17. Thanks for reposting this. It's a nice representation of the varieties out there. Some are obviously whimsical and kind of fun - maybe even decorated by kids. Others are likley huckster's poor attempts to duplicate vintage marbles and deceive. I suppose the thing to remember is that there is no such thing as an antique magic marker. lol
  18. Yes, I was trying to exclude it in my first post. I apparently didn't do a very good job. lol.

It might be an odd Vitro.
