  1. I'm telling ya' - that's some crazy marble right there - a Vitro Alley hybrid? lol I've never seen anything quite like it!
  2. Ric

    Halloween?

I have never heard of a Peltier Halloween.
  3. Cerise are the only others I can think of.
  4. Decorated Glazed China marbles . . .
  5. I I see only white, yellow and orange.
  6. It's a nice one, Chad! Thanks for the info too!
  7. I think you are pretty safe saying CAC for this one, Dave.
  8. Nice one, Chad - kind of "modern" (or is it "English") colors?
  9. A pretty common type of Striped Opaque . . .
  10. Handmade two-pontil ballot balls . . . or game marbles, perhaps - nothing too exciting. lol
  11. Just a few hand-faceted agates . . .
  12. Well, that's a pretty little thing!
  13. Another beautiful board to start the day. Thanks for showing it. The black, yellow and white ones do stand out in the group, and it's interesting that nearly all share some black color. It's a beautiful group of marbles!
  14. Sorry Joe, thanks for your patience. Your OP sorta got lost in the shuffle. But you've been around long enough to know these things happen occasionally- marble collectors, you gotta love 'em. 🙂 Anywho, I am leaning slightly toward Akro on your marble, mainly because of the pumpkin colored patch. It would be nice to see what the interior looks like, though. Can you get any light through it?
  15. It's still a great find, Tommy. I think the only one I've ever had in hand was Bill's and he probably made me turn my pockets inside out before he let me touch it.
  16. I am not sure what the term "chocolate oxblood" describes other than Akro marbles like Bill's. But I'd be happy to learn more about it.
  17. See if you can find one with a red anywhere near that Ravenswood's. 😀
  18. Oh yeah, it's Ravenswood. Remember that red, Art. Alley made a good red too but when Ravenswood was on their game nobody could hold a candle to theirs, IMO.
  19. I agree, the green one is really cool - looks sort of like a Grenier to me.
  20. You're looking at the wrong marble, Art. Check the upper right mib in the right bag. The red on your marble is the Ravenswood tell.
  21. That's a great document. It makes me sad to see such an iconic name now being used solely for marketing purposes. I feel the same way about Bell & Howell's name being used to market cheesy products on TV.
  22. Very nice examples and a super interesting topic. I bumped a post in the archives that you may want to check out.
  23. Just bumping this for @hdesousa It's on e of the best discussions I could recall about trade marble beads.
