  1. Maybe the seller offers combined shipping and they're getting 10 marbles for $14.25?
  2. Certainly no apology necessary, Mary, it takes a little practice. I just wanted to draw your attention to the issue.
  3. Welcome here, Mary. You'll want to avoid reflections as much as possible, because sometimes it's hard to tell whether you're looking at a pattern in the marble or a reflection of the environment on the marble. When I try to mentally remove the reflections from your pics, I think you might have a hand-gathered brick (oxblood) marble here.
  4. Okay, last guess . . . a spiral?
  5. Maybe a Prize Name, Onyx or Special?
  6. He'll say, "I sell marbles, not corkscrews."
  7. Does that mean you've seen one, and I have something else to hunt for?
  8. I agree - unglazed, I think.

    Peltier?

I have two - both about the same size.

    Peltier?

Thanks, Rick, mine is about shooter size too.
  11. . . . a well deserved coronation, indeed. Congratulations Queen Steph!
  12. At one point, I thought this might be a Green Sunset but, nah . . .

    Peltier?

Years ago, I think there was some consensus that this type was Peltier, but I was never too sure about it. Any thoughts? Any others to post?
  14. Thanks Cheese, I wonder if there's an American company that didn't make a RW&B marble.

    rainbo?

Thanks Al, that's sort of what I thought too - kind of a stretch to call them Champion Jrs. when so many other types were found in the same bags, and I will be dropping the term for ID from here on out.

    Bless you

Good idea - it sounds like fun! I'll bet a lot of those kids are going to show those pucks to their own children someday.
  17. Dang, that's a cool mib - looks like a starfish in there!

    End of days ?

I'm not too knowledgable about these types but the open poles suggest they have been polished. I doubt they are "end of day" marbles.

    ID Inky?

That job would be far beneath any cat.

    ID Inky?

    or something, maybe . . . ?

    ID Inky?

Win? Was I competing somehow? I don't really get it.
  22. Do you know if that is true for each variant? I've only seen 9/16" like the ones I posted and I've only seen 5/8" like the ones you posted. I have not seen any at 11/16".
  23. Thanks, Ron. There are two marbles there. Pretty sure I bought every one I had a chance at. The second one you posted is probably the nicest I have ever seen - four colors on a Ravenswood -wow! The two I posted are both 9/16" - I'm betting yours are 5/8"?

    ID Inky?

I'd say it's an Inky - the base is just a little less yellow than most, perhaps.
