  1. I don't doubt it's a Peltier, and a nice one too. I am just trying to figure out what the range of "Bloodies" look like. It seems there is so much variation within that 'group' that it hardly means anything.
  2. That is a dandy marble, but it looks a lot different than the ones in the Bloody boxes I have seen. It seems like there is such variation in this group that "CAC Bloody" has little if any meaning. In addition, I could not distinguish some of these marbles from dug Alley examples.
  3. I think there are also Masters called "blizzards" or "snow globes". Have these types been dug at the factory? I ask because I suspect that some VHTF 'Peltiers' are Kokomo marbles.
  4. "Plunger" seems to be a poor descriptor of its function. I like regulator better - if that's what it actually does. A plug to keep the glass in the tank until it's ready to flow seems sensible too.
  5. I was under the impression that the plunger was used to regulate the flow of the stream, which came out of the tank by gravity. When you say the plunger was used to "push the glass into . . ." and "plunge the molten glass through . . .", what do you mean? It seems like it would be hard to push molten glass with a pointed object.
  6. I've not seen an Akro with clear in it but I can guarantee I haven't seen them all.
  7. Looks like a lemon-lime to me.
  8. Nice Cat Eyes, Don. Thanks for posting the pics. The blue and orange combo is super!
  9. Thanks for the thoughts, Ann. I am pretty confident that if the middle one isn't a Peltier, it's a Vacor (In fact, I am leaning that way). We know they can look pretty close structure-wise, and the colors and glass just don't strike me as Peltier. And I agree about the MK swirls, the ones I have had and seen are tricolors too. But it seems probable that they made (and perhaps discarded) versions with fewer colors too, don't you think?
  10. You might find this post interesting.
  11. You lay the heart in a fire or on a woodstove, etc. to heat it up. Then you pick it out of the fire with the stand and set it (heart hanging) on the table. You us a dropper to put medicine in it (e.g., eucalyptus) and you inhale the vapors. Yup . . . I completely made that up.
  12. I want to say it is part of a flow control system, but I'll bet someone else (like Alan) will know for sure.
  13. I'm feeling Alley, and not much else.
  14. It's good to see we've learned some things in the past 7-8 years.
  15. Nice Craig - big ones are great. not a big one . . .
  16. Okay, so the middle one does look a lot like a Rainbo but I must say I am not entirely convinced - something seems different about it. Regardless, I am more interested in the left and right marbles. They are obviously made by the same maker. The glass, colors, pattern and quality look more Kokomo than Peltier IMO. I know others have (seen) these marbles. Does anyone else have thoughts about them? In with some others. Please let me know if you think any of these are not Kokomo. That1 has indicated that he thinks they might be MK and would have the upper right one as a Peltier. I know it looks Woody-ish. Has anyone seen similar dug or in Pelt packaging?
  17. Nice case. What's not to like about slags?
  18. Nice ones Mibs. This one is 13/16" a few more . . .
  19. That1, I have 5/8" matches for that nice Conqueror upper left. These are 63/64"-1"
  20. There are certainly people who have more experience with them and are better at recognizing the variety of makers than others. Ron is one of the best, but he doesn't consider himself an expert and will readily admit that there are certain types that cannot be identified with certainty.
  21. Depending on how many years ago it was, not much may have been known about Heaton marbles.
  22. Little ones, huh Bill? How big are those bad boys?
