  1. Wow, a bit of extra striping glass and a bit of extra spin make for a dandy marble!
  2. I don't think it's veneered like a Conqueror and I did say "crazy". 🙂
  3. Interesting, I've not seen it before either.
  4. Peltier Rainbo, sometimes referred to as a "Champion Jr." since they were one type commonly found in poly bags labelled as such.
  5. I think it's a hand-gathered slag but I'm not sure who made it.
  6. The blue one seems older and different than the others. I don't see a pontil on that one. It looks like it has blue and white striping glass in a clear base - am I seeing it right, or is the base glass blue?

Thanks, it helped, I'm thinking they are JABO Classics.
  8. I appreciate the extra pics because they are intriguing marbles. I'm thinking they're newer, maybe Bulgarian, but I can't say for sure - they just seem off for early American marbles, at least to me.

    Alley?

    Nice Marble, Melissa.

It might help to show them all.

It's newer, SMM, DAS or JABO Contract marble would be me guess.

I'm thinking it's a busy Vacor Old Fashioned.

I agree with a newer DAS, SMM or a JABO contract marble.
  14. Some kind of a crazy All Red is my guess.

Looks like an odd Hurricane but I don't know if Vacor made frosted ones, or what they called them if they did.
  16. I think it's a Pennsboro Alley.
  17. two opaque colors are Prizenames (middle)
  18. You answered my previous question earlier so i edited this post: That middle one's going the opposite direction from the others. I would like to see nice clear close-up shots of the "pontils" on these. Without that, I can't say much more than that they are interesting, and unusual, at least to me.
  19. It looks pretty odd for Navarre or Barberton to me, even with the looping - something just seems off. But I am sure they made some oddballs too.
  20. I'd like to see a close-up view focused on the pontil. These are examples of creased "pontils" you'd expect to see on Yasuda transitionals . . . FWIW, I'm not thinking yours is Yasuda.
  21. I'm leaning toward MK but it's a weirdo, regardless.
  22. That yellow spiral on red/orange is very nice, Joep!
  23. Yes, although it may or may not have been intentional, and while there are probably more "V"s on Vitros than other makers, the trait is not exclusive to Vitro. It usually happens when the seams are "pinched together" (both are found on the same half of the marble) and a "fold" results.
  24. I've not seen a Japanese transitional that's 15/16" - do they get that big?
