JABO Special Run by Dave McCullough and Ron Shepherd (RIP), 11/28/2010. The marbles are 7/8"-15/16".
-
I think they are both Pincers too. They do have a Vitro vibe but the patch/ribbon configurations and seams are wrong for Vitro, IMO.
-
No rules broken, this slag is just on the opposite end of the white:base ratio spectrum than that purple one you posted - sweet marble too!
-
Smart girl, IMO. And If one day you decide to part with it, I think you will easily find a good home for it.
-
@Akro75 It's a great box. I can't wait to see it full. Try to use Tomatoes for the red ones! The 7/8" are quite a bit easier to find than the 5/8" ones.

Making Rolley Hole marbles this year
Ric replied to RolleyHoleMan's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
This is all very interesting and I just want to say that I am enjoying the education, so thanks! -
Definitely Alley.

@Melissa They're all nice, Melissa, but those last two are great!
-
Very nice, Chuck! Nice Gar too!

@Melissa In the end, I completely agree with Chad. It is your peewee and you are the one who imparts a value on it. You should do what makes you happy. But you should understand that you may never have an opportunity to own another one. I'll bet the person wanting to trade realizes that.
-
I would say your peewee is way harder to find than player size. I would not even consider an even-up trade.
-
Thanks, Chad - that helps. Great statue!

A few Davis marbles . . .

I'm thinking this might be a Heaton, Charlie.
-
That's really cool, Chad - a memorable gift, for sure. How big is that marble? I'm trying to get a handle on how big the statue is.
-
Has anyone ever seen Peltier peewees in a bag or a gift box? The only time I have seen them outside of singles, or piles of singles, is as roller-balls in (cardboard?) tube "applicators" (I don't recall if they were for lip balm or perfume or what) and I have seen some pretty cool marbles used in those applicators too - not just clearies. Does anyone have any examples of intact "applicators" they could post?
-
Wow, that's a dandy marble, Bill!

I'm pretty sure you're right - Vitro. Game marbles, I think.
