Nice two seam slag - German would be my guess. And the grape purple color is great but my bet is that it's been enhanced some.

I've always liked the marble shooter logo on these - I've got it on poly bags too.
-
That's a great peachy color!
-
Just a Vitro Hybrid Cat's Eye. And that's a nice little solid core you posted up earlier too!

@Chad G. Wow, I like yours way better!

@Fire1981 Nice marbles, at over 35 years old, that Laubs from 1986 has got to be one of his earlier ones. @Chad G. Very nice Tiger!

It's easy to see why, Tommy. It's an unusual example and very cool. It'd be with my keepers, for sure!
-
Very cool, Rick - I'm glad you finally found one you like! I have never really been into sulfides but I do have two elephants that I purchased over the years, and that's enough for me.

@cheese Oh yeah, that's a great Alley. I have marbles just like it. Unfortunately, they lack the trans green and the AV. lol

@Alan Your contemporary collection is stellar and I really enjoy seeing these examples. If my trying to guess the artist gets tiresome just let me know and I'll be happy to stop. Otherwise, I appreciate the opportunity for practice and learning. Are these from William Murray?
-
Thanks Alan, another artist for me to research.

I think most, if not all, are nice Champions. Here is a comparison pic I had handy - Champion left and Ravenswood right. I think you have other variants of the Champion R/W/B in your group too. More Champions . . .

Nice find and good eye, Art. If I thought that was an Alley, I'd have paid more $10.50 for it, that's for sure!

I think the definition of "antique" is pretty well defined but the definition of "vintage", especially the upper (newer) limit, is where the problem lies. I would disagree that anything made sometime between yesterday and 99 years ago is vintage. Although, I'd be okay calling something made between 25 and 99 years ago vintage, but that's just me, and therein lies the problem IMO.
-
I agree that "vintage" is such an ambiguous term, and its meaning so often dependent on the user's age, that it is near meaningless.

@Alan Another beautiful marble - great holiday colors. I am waaay over my head here but I am trying to learn - Rolf and Genie Wald?
-
An Akro lazy Corkscrew is what I see.

-
Is that one of Sammy's big ones?
-
The vast majority, but not all, look properly sorted to me. I think there are two Pelt Rainbos and an Akro patch in the left column of your first Vitro tray but beyond that there are way too many marbles in the post to easily refer to the others that I think might be out of place - too much like work for me. 🙂

It does, I'd say Heaton upper left, Alley lower left, and maybe Ravenswoods on the right . . .
