  1. Just shy of 1" and a little garish for my taste but here it is . . .
  2. Upper left is a nice Neon Conqueror - upper right looks like a nice Vitro too. Might be a MK lower right. The others are two Peltier Inkys and a Rainbo, like Chad said.

    Whats inside ?

I think you're right, Joep. I wasn't paying enough attention to that first marble. And it's hard for me to tell whether there are multiple colors or just clear on the others.

    Alley?

Alley is my guess too - not sure about St. Mary's on the green ones though.
  5. The first one looks Akro to me and I'm thinking Vitro for the second one.
  6. The QC on these is pretty bad - the structure is all over the place, I'll guess Asian.

Looks like they were given away at CalTex gas stations in France. It's really hard to see the marbles but they look like big 1" Cat's Eye's - not made in the USA, IMO, maybe Asian?
  8. It's always important to see both seams and size counts too. At this point, one thing I can say for sure is that it's not an Akro Crow.

    4 for ID

I was just going to say that I think the lower left is a new swirl - DAS or SMM . . .
  10. I have no real idea what you have there, Joep. But the teardrop-shaped bubbles make it look like a hand-made marble to me - pretty cool.
  11. I'm pretty sure that first one is one of the Marble Buddy's made by Sam Hogue and Dave McCollough at Sammy's Mountain Marbles.
  12. Wow, the colors on that one are great - really unusual!
  13. I think that is a very pretty Asian Imperial type marble - one of the nicer ones I have seen.
  14. The right one is definitely not an Akro Claudia. If there is yellow on both poles I would say it's a newer MK. Here is one of brother Bill's (RIP) Jolly Roger Corkscrews. It's big, like 1 1/8", maybe bigger. The Claudia is essentially a patch version of this marble. @Alan has a bunch of them. Man, I love the orange peel on these marbles!
  15. There were a number of "conversion kits" that were available back in the day, and some people even built their own. It sounds to me like that is what your Grandfather had.
  16. Oh yeah, the Whizzers are really cool - I'd love to ride one!

    5/8 WVS

I'm going to guess Jackson but I've seen some similar old Champions too.
  18. Nice marble - man, I like Vitro's clear glass!
  19. Cool, Steph, I have probably 4 gallons of foreign Cat's Eyes I haven't looked at in about 15 years. I'm going to dig them out soon to see what I can find. We may need a Cat's Eye thread - seems like it's been a very long time . . .
  20. Mine is a 1971 Solex made in France. It gets 65-85 miles/qt. depending on the terrain, wind, and my weight. 😄 It's a total blast to ride - one of my favorite things to do.
  21. These days, this is what I spend most of my time riding . . . I've only owned it for about 25 years - it has never failed to start. 😄
