  1. It's an odd one, for sure - lot's of bubbles and debris. I'm thinking about Master possibilities - weirdly enough, may even Kokomo. Does it glow under UV? I'm not really seeing Pelt or Vitro here but . . . ?
  2. No oxblood of any type there, Charlie. It looks like a WVS of some sort.
  3. Man, you have been showing some outstanding examples of Akro marbles - thanks for posting them!
  4. That's what I thought too.
  5. I know what your thinking . . . I thought about it too but I eventually thought better of it.
  6. I quit using "Parakeet" for the smaller ones when I found out that Chuck B. and Ron didn't like the usage. I call them Baby Parrots now. Here are a couple more . . .
  7. After reading the Vitro book and discussing the issue with Ron, I learned that size does not matter with Parrots or Parakeets - only the number of colors is important - Parrots have four and Parakeets have three. Size only matters when discussing rarity.
  8. Parrots are opaque white-based marbles that have four colors other than white. The best ones will have no white showing. Parkeets are similar but have only three colors on the white base. Do I see another ribbon of very light lavender color opposite the yellow? If this marble has the white and colors veneered on a clear transparent base, I would agree with Vitro Tiger Eye. Otherwise, I'll stick with Akro.
  9. I think it's a later Akro patch.
  10. Most look like Alleys to me, although the bottom one might be a Champion.
  11. All I can say is that it doesn't look like an American marble to me.
  12. It looks like a very odd Vitro Conqueror to me.
  13. Based on the colors in these photos, I'd say Akro but Master might also be a possibility.
  14. It looks like a hybrid Popeye to me.
  15. Ric

    Both Pelt ?

I think the second one is Vitro.
  16. Dale is suggesting you examine the surface using a jeweler's loupe. Myself, I am with Chuck and think that, at most, someone may have tried to hand-buff a shine on it. But I think the surface looks original from the views you show.
