  1. Yes you did ,I hadn't forgotten and should have mentioned your name but sometimes I post my messages in haste like today.I had to squeeze it in before my doctors appointment,I like your idea about "chocolate strawberries" but will it hold up with the east coast collectors? LOL only kidding,I don't suppose every marble has a name or needs one.Steph the ribbons on these marbles do run deep they are very baseball like. Here's two pics I took first without a flash second with a flash. size is 9/16"
  2. Thanks Steph for trying "chocalate something" doesn't sound too bad.I always do this I buy what I think I can afford then I go home and kick myself for not getting the rest knowing these marbles have been stored somewere together and only by some stroke of luck they found there way to me.So I went back yesterday and got the rest of them.I tried to get just the mint ones, the two big ones have minor damage.
  3. That's too funny! Here a better pic of that NLR
  4. Thanks Smitty,I'll do that. The NLR furthest right has a brown base with red ribbons. It does'nt have aventurine, wondering if it has a name? Thanks again
  5. Got this at the flea market today along withj a couple marbles.I'm wondering if anyone has one or knows who made it? The size is 2-7/8" and is highly flourescent.
  6. The base glass is a smokey transparent glass with white swirling in it.Size is 15/16"
  7. Here are some favorite slags and freinds
  8. I still collect Peltiers when I can find them, great marbles everyone.
  9. Sissydear I agree, for many years my favorite marbles were Peltier but now have found a new passion for Vitro's and BIG slags.I recently got a group of 32 Vitro's multicolored with aventurine.I just love em.Your Sweet Peas and Black-eyed peas are some of my favorites. The Vitro colors are very vibrant just outstanding! I don't think there lowly anymore.
  10. What beautiful Vitro's you have,many I've never seen.Thanks for posting
  11. This is the rock I had in mind when I made my guess, measures 1-1/2".I can see now the colors are reversed, more blue than white.I wouldn't be too dissapointed with the lot,in my opinion all these real vintage "MINT" marbles will have value in the near future if not sooner.Good hunting
  12. Looks like you got alot of nice Vitro's,the ones in the same bag. Score! I think ther Vitro's
  13. Nice group! is that a large dyed agate I see in pic 3 ? Any big slags in there, maybe a red one? great stuff
  14. No not mine, wouldn't mind if they were but does the name exotic alone suggest they are from somewhere else?Just being mysterious.I have one stripped opaque exotic but can't post pics at this time.edit, I had a pic in photo bucket
  15. I think alot of people here are interested in cats-eyes,I know I am.Ex-specially anything in colored glass. Here are some better pics.Windex blue would be a good discription of the color.I like the green alot, not vaseline looking at all.Not trading these but you have good pics of what you are looking for.
  16. Yes,I had to wear her down just to get a picture.I took eight pics and this is the only one were she is not a blurr. She is a mutt also, they were adopting out about a dozen kittens and she is exactly what Judy has been waiting for.Didn't know most orange cats are males,so this little girl was a rare find I am told.I learned quit a bit at the cat show about different breeds Bengals,Oriental shorthairs, siamese and so on.Some of these cats ther're breeding now are huge! Also learned my cat Bongo is a Norwiegen forest cat,can you imagine that. She does have the Bengal markings but a little fluffy.
  17. Went to our first Cat show yesterday and couldn't come home empty handed. Her name is Daisy and she is three months old,she is soooo sweet.
  18. Don't worry bout the house payment! Great marbles! WOOOW !
  19. I need to look and see what brand and size my kiln is but I can tell you it's got three sections,it's 230V single phase.I use it for pre-heating and slow cooling cast iron weld repairs.I haven't used it for awhile though it's fully functional and ready to go.It's about four feet tall.Maybe you should come up to Sparks and give me a lesson.I have a torch I use to cut steel with.Once again that's a beautiful slag, can't believe you did it last night!Very nice.
