I have no problem with anyone. I feel I have made a pretty good name for myself here as far as being a decent marble person. Even apologizing when errors were made. But David you commented many times how we are on the low end of the spectrum kinda remarks. Dunderheads......questioning how we express ourselves. I think you are looking too deep into the marbles, my friend. This is a community. I might hang my laundry out tomorrow to dry. If I do, being my neighbor, I hope you wont complain. Try to not demean us just because we just enjoy the marbles and are not looking for the meaning of life in them. I don't have the thesaurus out right now........I thought they were extinct.

IMHO I think that some of us are so full of ourselves that they do not care if they offend. They use big words and talk in jargon that is hard to follow unless you have a scribe beside you. I should have known better than to get sucked into this thread by someone who just wanted to see the reactions. Also to have someone agree with him but then say " Hey, I don't need no stinkin' agreements" Man, if I didn't like it here and if one of our fine mods would not be mad...............................I would love to talk to a couple people very candidly. So I will just say that we, the nice people, were tricked into participating in a thread that was nothing more that an attempt for personal "spouting off". Hope you don't mind me borrowing this. Membership dues are on the way.

zaboo is exactly right. because without saying it you might sound like you know then get attacked by others who know you are wrong. so by saying IMHO you are making sure all know you are just giving an opinion.

my wife bought a book for me at a yard sale for very little $. i am hoping someone can tell me what it might be worth. it is a "Greensberg Guide to Marbles". it has a name on the first flap like it belonged to this person "Carol Buchleu" (?). The title page has the signature of Dennis Webb under his name and "8 August 1992, Buckeye Marble Collectors Club Meet. Columbus, OH" under it. The next page says First edition. it comes with a paper in it listing corrections to errors in the book. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
