haint got a pic but if you hold the pole up you can see the four colors looks like a beach ball...i still say that st marys four corlo cats were called just that.....and they were red yellow blue green...there was a signature with orange and blue- blue white -yellow-white-green white -and the most common blue yellow.... in cross thrus....i mighta missed a color dont know for sure....

look for four color cat eyes..never heard of beachball....there is a beachball by vitro but it haint a cateye...

the constant bickering that accompanies any response here lately is becoming almost laughable.. all the crap and one upmanship that seems to go with anything marble lately has gotten to edge of sanity....i went to the jabo plant today and as usual had an enjoyable time talkin with dave and talkin marbles....we all know that surely the discussion had to touch on the subjects that so shamelessly go on here....the marblers of past and present are no different--- except we can establish an idea that zips into cyper-space with the click of the mouse....steve sturtz is not a bad guy...hes all about marbles....his tactics may turn some off....his thoughts are documented and he put lotsa time and money into an endeavor that he is passinate about....granted his responses are sometime veiled in pissiness but ill gurantee you he was poked into such a statement...hes all about marbles...the craziness thats going on with the jokers is pure rick hall....hes not a bad guy either....id hate to see these two get-together on a run....they would make some awesome mibs...steve is the guy who can sale the run...rick is the guy who can sell the marble....but the bullshit that revolves around these runs are overwhelming....just let em be marbles ....dont worry that somebody mighta thought of makin special runs of marbles at jabo years ago...it didnt happen until the salesman sturtz got the marbles rollin....hall is the master of marketing ....give him that...the petty sillyness that goes on has to stop...the emails the ruthlessness of these tacticts are unthinkable...gonig through a place like ebay to foster bad thoughts is unbelievable...come on lets get back to marbles

its just shows the mental abilities of some of those people...like going from california to ohio just to "find" the truth....those 2 are made for each other...they are like snickering children smokin cigaretts behind the barn...some day their baloon will burst but they continue to say things and do things to stir the pot and keep their marbles in the topic....i cant imagine that others dont see it...

i do know that around that time all the kids round here wanted clearies.....i dont know if the companies was pushin em then or not...i was 10 years old or so....i know we wanted em..i think its a valid ad...

they were there to use in makin industrials...i think......but im purty sure they were there for cullet...there was a big crate of the shooters with the ribbons too....sometimes a couple years ago?? youd get em in the cases of classics if you didnt pick em up yourself....thers barrels of solid black and solid blue too...

using a secret substance i thunk up these dust collectors......i call em duffy eggheads......the bodies are flattops and footballs ive collected from jabo...might be a little silly but i think theyre kinda cute.....

zig...you have some good ideas.... but they are not anything new ....with the exception of hiring a guy in a chicken suit to wave at passers by...thats pretty rich......most of the budget is for flyers so if you contact ron or howard you can get as many as you want.....i usually put out flyers for the show from wheeling to marietta...for the sistersville show,too....the show was held at three other locations in the past so the club is still looking for the right mix...im sure the cost of gas last year hurt all shows.....everybody thats interested enough does their share and theres a lot more than you can imagine that can go wrong....dealin with the personalities of some marble collectors ...makin sure everybody is happy....ensuring security.....organizing tours..[renting a van] ..securing venues......setting up the show room.....[making sure conflicting personalities are not next to each other]....setting up the club room with snacks and displays...promoting the show...anyway thats available......but new blood is always welcome and discussions at the meeting is always a plus....its not a bad thing to be a member...in fact its fun sometimes and like havin a marble show every month.....the dues goes for promoting marbles and publishing the newsletter,which is top notch.....any donation is welcome so if youd rather not be a member , you could just donate some cash to the club for the programs ....im sure ron and howard thanks you for your suggestions......past president....steve

hey bruce ...try puttin your mibs on a grey towel or sweatshirt or sumptin...that way your camera wouldnt focus on the boards underneath....
