  1. hi Winnie. mostly the sunbursts are on clear, but can also be found on a an amber, light blue, green tint, .. I think what may be confusing is the' tigereye' type masters..they are always on a clear glass base. don't know if this helped much?
  2. just an update gang! we are now having the hotel open another wing! if you call and they tell you the block is full, make your reservations anyway! we will sort it out. over 50 rooms so far and climbing!!
  3. ROFL-> gnome. it was a postal marble. the kind that turn into black holes.
  4. FWIW.. Sold one awhile back that was literally beat to crap, but the crow was still somewhat visible. the thing I noticed about these boxes, verses the one we had(consignment) was there was no thin paper covering the box lid. the crow appeared stamped onto the cardboard. It did have a nice red slag in it that fit properly too. just sayin...
  5. could also be an curtain blind grip. people used to make those out of lots of thinks, even crochet them. i have a couple with marbles covered by tatting as well. when they hung in the windows the light going thru them added decoration.
  6. man I am so sick of the P.O. glad my regular carrier will be back next week. at least I know he always scans as soon as he hits the truck! Bring the wife Gnome! wanna be in Fremont for Halloween. now that's going to be some entertainment!! free entertainment!! Already have some wonderful dinner plans made. I always pick up some really neat marbles in vegas. never disappointed for sure. can't beat the room rates and a taxi from the airport only runs about 10.00 including tip!

  12. here's ours, 1 7/32", and no crease, no cold roll and smooth as a baby's butt. Have also seen a 1 1/4" lemonade, that Terry Lundeen owns. 1 and 1 1/8" can be found, ones larger are rare. and not an ingot. I think an ingot that big would be pretty awesome too. ~Ernie
  13. hi, yes this size is rare. not a production item, emk
  14. tough call, but i think this size was japanese. Have a net bag with tag that says japan. I am thinking 1960's, close to or during the pincher type time period. ~Ernie
