  1. Someone might be able to convince me the read and green one is modern Marble King.
  2. I think you're right. Another mix of Vacor and Asian. The big one on the left and the two spaghetti swirls on the right being Vacor. Could be others. (still best to start a new thread ... so people know that a new batch is being looked at )
  3. Another provocative one for a different reason .... (P.s., article was wrong -- it was Martin's son Charles, not Martin.)
  4. Here's a provocative classic. Sports Illustrated, June 20, 1955 .... this is a large-ish size but it's displaying smaller for me here. If I click on it three times I get a bigger copy. Might work for you. http://marbleconnection.com/topic/8445-marbles-article-1955/ https://www.si.com/vault/1955/06/20/604842/color-in-the-dust
  5. I tried to figure out how common 5/16" pelts were. Didn't find it. Best I can do is bump it for you.

Pretty sure they were up against vintage marbles ... pretty sure it was a Rooster which was thought to be a vintage marble. Then someone figured it out. Not aware of an Asian ID site.

One year a Vacor won a "best slag" competition at one of the clubs out west. Was over 10 years ago. Now folks recognize 'em better.

    Nice pattern on #5.

    #4. Vacor Rooster #5. I'm thinkin' Vacor Hurricane #6 & 7. Asian #1 through 3 .... yes foreign ... maybe Vacor on #2.
  10. The pictures do show quite a lot of detail. Nice.
  11. Won't be a steal, but you won't be robbed either. And a nice little bag of marbles finds a good home.

Here's one it reminded me of. Not as much coverage as Dan's, obviously, but some wide ribbons. I had that one in with my Rainbow Reds for a long time ... until one day the light hit it just right and I realized that was a Peltier green base, not a weird MK black ribbon.

Modern for #3 through 7 #3. Asian (the style called Imperial, but I'm trying to get out of the habit of saying that) #4. Maybe Vacor. (If not, then Asian) #5. Does it have cutlines? Not sure ....presuming foreign #6. Foreign. Leaning Asian. #7. Vacor #1 ... what are the cutlines shaped like? short? long? V-shaped? straight? #2 is a puzzle. I'll guess modern but I don't have a guess for a maker with one off-center brown ring around the middle. Does it have an iridescent finish? Or is a normal glass finish just with reflections?
  14. Pictures aren't showing. They appear to be attachments from AAM. I guess folks would have to log in there to see them.

If those are the same marbles, then I'd have both of them in my Pelt box.

It hard to ID a marble when all the photos are backlit. But I bet you're right about them being Pelt Rainbos.

What does the red and white look like backlit?
  20. That's great! So much fun.
  21. Do any of them have MFC in them?

I'm still leaning Pelt on the first one -- or at least considering it as a possibility. Some wide ribbons, but they're arranged in the Pelt flip-flop pattern.
