  1. Can you think of any good ones? I like the alien at the end of Men In Black playing marbles with the Milky Way and other galaxies.
  2. Funny you should mention that one, Joe. A couple of years later, I got to really wanting one of those, and forgot I already had one .
  3. Thanks for sharing. What's next on the list?
  4. found these on my porch one morning.
  5. Okay ... found an old photo where I was comparing white bases. Pinterest turned it around on me ... but there is on the left now, my whitest white.

Oh, I don't think so. Still haven't seen the whole seams though. That could help nail things down.

I think you've got yourself a Vacor Sunset. Possibly my favorite Vacor. https://www.billes-en-tete.com/detail.php?id=123&lang=en
  10. Then I'll stick with WV swirl on the left. With a strong vote for Alley.
  11. I'm not at all sure On the red, I"m with Dindo on West Virginia swirl. Probably. If it is a WV swirl, then I think the particular company is Alley. Something about the ribbon ends is making me wonder if it might be something else. On the green, could that be an Akro corkscrew?

Could it be a Peltier Rainbo?
  13. I agree with sclsu on the maker being an American company, such as Marble King. With the vanes of the top left one being less wide, I might also look at Heaton or Bogard as the maker.
  14. Lee's Legendary Marbles and Collectibles features world's largest marble collection http://www.wmtw.com/article/worlds-largest-marble-collection/21965363 Thanks for the link, @Shellkat
  15. That $5 each bowl is full of Vacors. The black and white swirly marbles to the right of the red and white ones ... yesterday I thought they might be vintage ... today they look Vacor. One of the jars is full of super cheap foreign cat's eyes -- the kind that some people throw away. I think I see one actual bumblebee in the $18 jar but it's mixed in with some newer ones. Basically, the majority of those marbles are not vintage. And the vintage marbles are mostly commons. I'll spend more than a dollar on a bumblebee because I like them so much and don't come across a lot. But I wouldn't drive two hours do do it. Keep looking. You'll find something worth jumping at.
  16. Talking to people helps. Things will start falling into place.
  17. borborygmus ..... the technical word for when your stomach is growling
  18. Hi Michelle. Welcome. That would be a Vacor Liberty. Also known as a Cracker Jack. Vacor is a Mexican manufacturer. https://www.billes-en-tete.com/detail.php?id=30 It's modern ... from this century. However, I think it is discontinued so you might want to hang onto it. Also it's pretty.
  19. Some of them look like Vacor. The blue and yellow ones left of center look Vacor ... or Asian. Modern and foreign anyway. The ones to the right of that look mostly vintage. Not exciting though. I'm not seeing a reason for a four hour trip.
