Jabos are famous for their little white hit marks. I don't remember moons but the little white marks just became to be expected. The contract runs did get quite a lot of moons if you had them shipped. I got boxes from a couple of the Jabo Tribute runs and spent long time being sad about the hits. But not all had it, so I have some stellar keepers, and in general I finally learned to love 'em warts and all.

I don't think Marble King lets people see their cat's eyes being made. You have a chance of seeing swirls being made. The investors who do runs at Dave's Appalachian Swirls would probably let you tag along. Jabo might allow spectators also -- not sure. This line, "colored glass veins are injected into a transparent main stream" ... made more sense than "as the glass is stretched, small streams of colored glass are inserted at the center" ... because "stretching" sounds like handmade. And I'm pretty sure we're talking about "streams" flowing somehow. There actually is at least one person who makes cat's eyes by hand -- Ray Laubs @raynsandy

Yes, Peltier made bananas. Master also made bananas, and there are banana-like marbles from Asia. Is there any tint to the base glass? I like the ones with that little extra in 'em. I don't know if it's debris ... or if it's something which was used in creating the color... or ?

Someone else might know! I don't feel conversant with marble-making techniques.

I think _most_ vintage. Your first close-up might be Jabo. In the first picture, the orange and white smack dab in the middle might be Jabo. In the last group photo, the blue and yellow one on the top ... that yellow has a Vacor-like consistency to it. And the yellow and white one on the left of that photo might be Jabo.

Subtle yet spectacular Is that possible? Must be. You have it.

How, I could not say. Time: second half of the 50's.

#1 appears to be a Peltier Rainbo. Not very easy to find in the boulder size. The damage on the slag makes it worth zero cents. It's just cool that someone loved it so much. Sticking with modern foreign on #2, probably Asian. Sticking with Jabo on #4. That leaves #3 .... You got one solid view of one of its seams, but I still don't know what it is. Hmmmm ... I'm going with Peltier Rainbo on that one. I'm not 100% on it, but between the long seams, and the 3 or more ribbons, and the light seediness of the base glass which I think I saw in one of the photos ... Peltier Rainbo is my vote.

Because of the colors I was first looking for Pelt, but there appears to be a tongue of sorts -- suggesting a single stream swirl.

Yes. Also, it has a sort of Conqueror coloring.

That would definitely be something to ask him about -- which city he digs in, even if he doesn't want to be specific about the location.

So, by "exclusive at Marble King", you mean the present-day site in Paden City? Gotta wonder what Pink was doing with the marble machines from 1949 to the mid-50's. Tinkering was happening. Would make sense that he gave the Alley machines a run. .... but tinkering in the early 50's in St. Marys doesn't explain the marbles getting to Paden City in 1958 or later.

For #1 would like to see the part that's in picture #1. The structure of #2 looks sort of modern and foreign in that view. Not sure I've seen enough though. #3. Need more views. #4. Getting a Jabo vibe from it but need more views. #5. Modern and foreign. Probably Asian. #6 & #8. Modern, asian #7. Looks like a vintage West Virginia swirl #9. Still thinking maybe slag. It sure has seen a lot of action.
