  1. That's too bad, Timmy-Timmy. You're still a winner to me.
  2. Neato. A crystal ball. Likely does technically have two pontils. Handmade. I presume contemporary.
  3. I pick Timmy-Timmy. Now ... watching. C'mon Timmy-Timmy.
  4. Definitely. That's what I thought about it when you posted it on facebook. I was like "Well, Paul would know, but man!"
  5. .... what would it look like ..... I guess contemporary marble makers do it all the time, so maybe some of you have already designed and made your own marbles. I'll probably never make a marble with a torch, but from time to time I think about learning to use photoshop ... or trying to draw ... to make my ideal marble. But I can't even decide if it must have aventurine much less what the design would be, so I'm not ready to go to production.
  6. That's an interesting combination! I had hamburger with onions and bell peppers mixed in, topped with teriyaki sauce.
  7. £43.85 ... was that a good price?
  8. It's cool whether you like pinball games in general or whether you only want marble-themed ones.
  9. Apparently they don't think they earn enough. I guess too many people were ignoring or blocking the ads. But they sure have gone overboard in response. Was no compromise possible? I still have mine on one account ... it's showing in the OP. But one of my accounts is gone. And Chuck's account is gone. So now I am worried about how long my good account will work, and so I don't want to add more photos to it.
  10. I like. A nice way to see inside the cloudy ones. Also, the water flattens it out and makes it look like a painting.
  11. This could get controversial but let's have some fun. What are the marbles which have stricter and looser definitions. For example ... these beautiful Akros which Patry Denton posted long ago. Many would consider both to be Indian Blankets. Some would only consider the marble on the right to be an Indian Blanket because the red ribbon is supposed to be in the middle of the yellow ribbon. P.s. Once upon a time, I saw someone say that an Indian Blanket could also be red, white and black. [edit: yes, I checked just now -- Alan said it at his website.] What examples can you think of where some folks will restrict the names more than others?
  12. Post underwater marble shots Here are some Jabo Tribute to Friendships.
  13. They're not missing. You can still see them in the albums if you can get past the avalanche of ads and glitchy page-loading. But photobucket says it will cost $400 a year in order to be allowed to post photos directly into threads such as this. $10 a month will supposedly free you from the new obnoxious ads. But it won't be enough to give you the ability to post your images on other sites. https://petapixel.com/2017/07/01/photobucket-just-broke-billions-photos-embedded-web/
  14. My main marble account seems still to be in the clear. My general purpose account is a goner. For example: http://marbleconnection.com/topic/15429-lolcats-and-other-critters/?do=findComment&comment=133120 Now I'm in limbo.
  15. Can you see this? It's hosted at Photobucket. I'm noticing some Photobucket pictures disappearing and some still here ... for now. I _wanted_ to start a thread about Indian Blankets and other marbles where purists have strict definitions but others may let more marbles into that name. But now I just want to know if you can still _see_ the marbles ... whatever they're called.
  16. Any updates on the information here? I just learned what ZIP means -- Zone Improvement Plan.
