  1. Yes, I guess as a related subject we could have the cold rolls and nozzle marks that newbies think look like pontils.
  2. I have a marble which long ago I hoped was a coral ... but it really didn't come close. And my best guess for it was CAC. Need to fish that out and get opinions on it.
  3. That peewee is a nice one to put at the end of the coral continuum.
  4. Spicy fried radishes over rice.
  5. Pinx! *flying tackle hug* Sending out an SOS to Edna ....
  6. Some single seam Akros ... I think the photo is Mibstified's
  7. Here's a thread for the "good" versions of those plainest of all marbles. The essentially solid color marbles. Here's a 5/8" hand-gathered translucent, ultra fluorescent, with fire inside. Possibly a Peltier Canary. Here's a Christensen Agate of the kind sometimes known as a "Pastel". Mine is a single-seamer.
  8. Royals deserve their day.
  9. Hehe ... yes ... I also liked that it was a slow burner .....
  10. Woot woot! We again have a gallery preview on the homepage. This time on the right hand column!
  11. Oh that IS cool. A surprise sparkler. Nice!
  12. Yes! To both! That tree does look VERY Vitro-y.
  13. I'd already forgotten Cairo had an example. Bump for reminder of Cairo and reminder to archive .... keeperthread.
  14. I just did a random google ... would you say the top right rainbo here is close to "vitro lips" or a "vitro v"?
  15. It's different. Probably a real hybrid. As in it's irregularities were accidental. We call Vitro Hybrids that even though their multicolor vanes were made that way on purposel. Yours looks like something which happened when the people were changing between runs. Asian or Mexican. Still leaning Asian.
  16. That reminds me of a sweet Vacor I had with stretchy frit which I so hoped was a guinea. I'm sure the photos are lost to the great Macintosh Hard Drive Crash of 2008.
