  1. Hello there. Welcome. Better to start a new thread for each group of marbles. I'll go ahead and break these into four threads. I know that I'll be asking for a second view on at least one of the marbles. Things start getting confusing at that point if there are very many marbles in one thread.
  2. What would they be for? Yeah, I know they don't have to be for anything ... but .... would they have been like for jewelry?
  3. Whitney is in England to study for 6 months on break from Mount Holyoke. She's squeezing in as many memories as she can.
  4. I think I got a bag from you. ... just need to find where I put it. Been pulling together all my different marble caches from around the house.
  5. Well, hi there Rick! Some nice range there. Some surprises.
  6. *waves at raginisharma* Hi ... what name do you like to go by for short? Would love to hear about marbles from your area ... some day ... if you're willing.
  7. Hey, Bob .... what do you know about seals? http://www.thealmightyguru.com/Pointless/AnimalGroups.html
  8. Warren said he'd like to know how to get some of John's mibs. Over here:
  9. Thanks for sharing, Warren. Yeah, the exotic conversations were doozies. Do you know Edna? She was a special friend of Bo's. Pretty sure she traveled out your way from time to time. There's a bead show out there, right?
  10. I have also heard no ox on confirmed Heatons .... but did Heaton have a different, non-cupric formula for their aqua? It's hard to imagine no little strand of ox ever slipped through.
  11. This is a neat idea. http://www.landofmarbles.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=OSsolar&Store_Code=lom&search=solar+system&offset=&filter_cat=&PowerSearch_Begin_Only=&sort=&range_low=&range_high=
  12. "Marbles will follow you the rest of your life." That's what Debra Stanley-Lapic, National Marbles Champion of 1973, says to her daughter Whitney, National Marbles Champion of 2009. Whitney has launched her life and here she is depositing Jabo Classics in the Mediterranean Sea. Jabos have made it to the French Riviera. Her mom asked me to share. Gratuitous shot of the water.
  13. I don't know if I saw this when you posted it or why I wouldn't have answered it. Yeah ... three common sizes for the Jabos. 5/8", 3/4" and the ones near an inch. And each size family has its own personality. I used to be able to guess the size of the Jabo just by looking at the pattern. Not at that level of familiarity anymore.
  14. "oooh" came out of my mouth .... so surprisingly amazing ....
  15. Could it be a regular Panda? Without "blue" in front?
  16. Do any of these solitaire sets every have copyright dates in/on them?
  17. The Breakfast Club actors who were in Psych: http://psych-os.tumblr.com/post/59820350309/shownspencer-the-breakfast-club-actors-in-psych Was just thinking about how all the kids except Emilio Estevez had been in Psych and googled to see if any of the adults had been, and sure enough ... the janitor was in two episodes -- the last two seasons. Played the mayor.
  18. I think the majority of the discussions I've seen about Pandas said the base should be opaque, or maybe it was "mostly opaque". I saw at least two discussions where a base that was slightly transparent/translucent was allowed into that club. So ... I think the answer is yes. Both could be Pandas of some sort.
  19. LOL ... that word could get severely mangled, couldn't it.
