Mostly swirls. The one on the far left with the sparkle seems like it was probably made by hand in modern times. The word for a marble made by hand in modern times is a "contemporary". The 2nd one in the 2nd row is not a swirl. It looks like it could be a modern machine-made marble. It might be a style we call Imperial because the Imperial Toy Company distributed them. I'd want to see the ends of the ribbons before I felt I could be sure. And the middle one in the second row also doesn't look like a swirl in these views. Not sure about the far right on the second row either.

Cat's eyes. I think probably all made by Vitro. The first one on the left in the middle row is a little unusual. And so is third one in the top row. But I'll still say Vitro for all.

Hehe ... I can get to this thread easily by searching for "octopus". 1912: Gotta add the word "Jaspies" to the list. Probably some others when I'm read to pore through the Butler Bros. ad for new words. (link) "Jaspers" isn't in the list either. Hmmmm ... I think the existence of Jaspers by 1912 is implied in the existence of the nickname "Jaspies". Wouldn't you say?

I think the JABO I'm trying to locate might be closest to a "milky oxblood". Not aventurine.

From left to right ... In the first column, that looks like horsehair oxblood on the top two marbles -- so two West Virginia swirls with oxblood. Then the bottom marble is a Vitro All-Red. Second column: Looks like an Akro corkscrew on top with a Master marble below. Third column: I want to say Vitro on these. Not 100% sure. Someone else might say Akro and I wouldn't argue. But they're pretty patches. The fourth column is all Akro. Two Akro Tri-Color Agates with oxblood. And then on the bottom an Akro corkscrew.

Yes, that's the one. I'm still not getting a great view of the edges of the red patch so I'm not positive but that one could still be a Peltier Acme Realer.

Waitaminnit! Isn't that the one I already called a general patch? The one to the left of that had more of a red patch, right? That's the one I want to see the other side of.

Not what I expected. Retracting the Peltier Acme Realer vote. It looks more like a Vitro now but I'm not entirely sure. Hopefully someone else will recognize it. If not, I'd put it in with the "patches".

Big one. So, definitely going with Vacor on that one.

This one looks like a newer marble. Made by Vacor de Mexico. What size is it? (General name for it would be cat's eye but it's not quite a standard look.)

This one looks oxbloody but I really don't know what to make of it. I would want to call an oxblood swirl an Akro, but I'm really not sure. West Virginia swirl: I'd have this with the West Virginia swirls too, but I'd also describe it as a "transparent swirl".

Posts #9 and 10 are a Peltier Rainbo. This particular Rainbo is also known as a Peltier Bloodie. In posts #11 and 12, the third marble from the left ... do you see the little bit of orange glow on the cloth in front of it? That is indicative of the base having "fire" inside. If you hold it up to a light, does the white turn orange? (Also, does it turn watery looking?) That one might be a Peltier Acme Realer. I would need to see the shape of the red before I could be sure, but that's what it looks like in this view. The rightmost marble in that set is what is called a "patch" in generic terms but I'm not sure who made this one. It might be Master. I'd put the first two marbles in with the West Virginia swirls.

My husband mentions the Cowsills sometimes. I never really registered them. But noticing the little girl in the thumbnail of one of the other videos got me to read up on them. And her specially. (If I'd known about her back then, I would have wanted to be her. ) 2005 was a hard year for her, and the whole Cowsill family.

I could make those suckers last at least a day!

I think I really gotta build a data base of swirl colors. I should remember who worked with purple and green, shouldn't I.
