I am still under the impression that some may have been sold in Imperial boxes. I think about five different styles were sold in them over the years. That is to say, I think about five different styles have been found in the boxes in recent decades. I'm only judging from pictures though. Haven't seen any of the boxes in person.

Actually, I'm thinking of older-looking marbles, not the modern handmades out of China. Some which were found at a dumpsite in Shanghai. (Possibly garbage dump, not necessarily glass factory dump -- I don't know which) And I hadn't noticed this one before, but left hand??

Score one for the "maybe that just means the packaging is made in France" crowd. I hate when they say that about packaging marked "made in Japan" which I want to use as evidence that the marbles were made in Japan. But ?????????

There's something so perfectly marbley about Marble Kings. Probably coz those were what I would have seen when I was little. And of course the green makes it so much cooler.

Doh, I never think of Carnelian. To me it doesn't look like the marbles I've seen in Akro Carnelian packaging, but maybe collectors call it that.
