  1. That box would predate Vitro horseshoes.
  2. Oxblood can be part of a spectrum of different looking glass all existing together in one sample. You familiar with the second photo on this page? http://www.canalfultonglassworks.com/melting_oxblood_glass.htm
  3. I'm sorry Edna. This is very frustrating. Sorry I couldn't figure out a solution. I'll see you on Facebook!
  4. If you go to the My Media option at the top of the reply window, you can add links to your albums, or post specific images from your albums. It's a pretty cool feature and not that complicated if you know where to look. I guess we should create a tutorial for that.
  5. Like seeing folks make use of the gallery. Here's a link. http://marbleconnection.com/gallery/album/326-bernies-mibs/
  6. That's not my pic. Though I did once have ones like most of those and still have a few nice ones left. I have a coupla mystery buttons which I'd like to learn more about.
  7. The Cote's Master Loaf marble was advertised as being part of the 12-marble box set. Check out p. 139 of AMMM. Well, it was pictured in an ad as part of the 12-marble box set. The fine print said the marbles come packaged in bulk, so I don't know if they were sold as box sets or if the boxes were part of a display for the grocers or what. p.s., the picture of the box set is a little odd -- looks like the Cote's Master Loaf marble was drawn onto a photo of a box with real marbles inside.
  8. ... like shirt buttons and jacket buttons as opposed to pinback buttons ....
  9. Cool. ... you ever see marble images on a clothing button?
  10. Good marketing often makes the difference. Bob (nutz4lutz) had a winning formula and got very good results with Jabos years ago when that wasn't easy to do.
  11. That pontil definitely needs some work. .... a stranger once offered me some nature-made Australian marbles as a gift. I turned the offer down because I had emailed her purely for information and didn't want her to think I had any ulterior motives. I hope I didn't hurt her feelings and sometimes I think about them and sorta wish I had one but it seemed the right decision at the time.
