  1. Jeroen and Galen, I found something which I hope is at least a temporary fix. If the threatening messages continue, please make Lou or me aware of them. (Edit: Lou took care of it. Thx, Lou.) William, the name which comes to my mind on CallBob's avi is "Pennsylvania Dutch". I'm not sure though. Gonna try to look that up now.
  2. I'm sending a message to Lou. I used to be able to put members on moderation so we could screen their posts at least. I'm not sure I have that ability anymore. Sending message to Lou right now.
  3. It was kinda hard finding the way to change the password but it's done. Thanks. Hope that fixes it. While I was running the antivirus, I realized that more would probably be needed. Unless someone had turned on Alan's computer the problem couldn't have come from there.
  4. The left appears to be a sloppy imitation of the one on the right. William's layout is quite illuminating.
  5. Which is not after midnight. (And it was posted at 11:43 Eastern Time) Now, you've been given fair warning about the name calling. If you don't back off from the insults on your own, we'll have to take action on our end.
  6. That is a wonderful illustration, William.
  7. Oh great. What Sue said. How do I clear it?!!
  8. Well, here is a comparison with a marble Sue posted once. Not a scenic obviously. But a good way to contrast the craftsmanship in the pinwheel design.
  9. Bob, please don't speak to Sue that way. Even if you don't appreciate her knowledge, which is considerable, you're on very thin ice talking to her that way.
  10. To me, the one I posted looks cleaner than yours. Cleaner and more neatly executed. But still related.
  11. I am confident that it is a fake but I tend to be guarded in my expression, just in case I turn out to be wrong, even though I don't believe that will happen in this case. I post it for educational purposes. Yours looks like that one's brother or cousin.
  12. There was a guy named Flessa in Germany who was making chinas which were being passed off as old. Some variations on the spelling: Flesse, Vlessa. I think this might be one of the ones he made:
  13. I don't think there's anything wrong with showing the pictures. They're from ebay. They're educational. I know that Sue had reservations about showing the real ones because she didn't want the fakers to know how to improve their product. But if someone else had some undisputed ones to post, I wouldn't ask them to be removed.
  14. The black on those ends looks like what we see on a magic marker marble. Do you think the black was even painted or would you guess it actually was from a pen?
  15. Is this it? http://www.thecloroxcompany.com/company/heritage/bottle-guide/screw-top-bottles/ I looked on the cork top page and didn't see that shape. They say the first clorox bottle was five-gallon jug.
  16. Since these auctions are time sensitive, I'll move them to the main forum. p.s. Feel free to bump 'em when they're winding down.
