No immediate specific memory of gold on Benningtons coming to me at the mo' but I do remember gold on presumed old ceramics.

I remain 100% convinced that one marble is new. But since this is about Duffy's marble I won't argue about that one anymore for now.

I'll go with "outlier". They don't match the catalog photo of the clownfish with the two opposing stripes. But the michelangelo's which everyone loves don't match the catalog photos either. If I'm not mistaken the marble in that article may be the exact one manddrakes posted a question about once. I believe manddrakes found it together in a group of four. Manddrakes' very similar marble might actually be one of the three on the right here but was at least found with them. Those don't match the simple striped clownfish, but come close to the style on the shooter here with the more master-like arrangement of color: Disclaimer: I don't think Duffy's are like these at all.

Orange peel or no, your marble looks like a Master to me. I can't place it yet with boxed evidence but I don't have pics of that many Master boxes at hand.

The one in that article is the one I'm convinced is a Vacor Clownfish. Not to imply that any other in this thread is a Vacor. I don't think that at all. Just gonna be a long time before anyone convinces me the one in the article is otherwise.

If the name "Blue Blood" wasn't already used for Akros, I'd nominate that! But then again I wouldn't have thought of it if it wasn't for the Akros so I guess that's moot.

Dani once posted a Royal box with a blue/orange combo in it.

Well, this says only 21 marbles. So it's not exactly the same as Don's. But right era. 1934, the year the patent was filed. P.s., "Moonie" in that era that could have included patches on a translucent base. Berry Pink even used the name "moonie" for some Rainbos.

I have seen a newspaer ad for a package like that. At least I'm pretty sure about that. Might take me awhile to remember which folder it would be in.
