  2. If you guys don't quit watching so closely, I'm never going to be able to unload my .... nevermind ..... Just kidding. I love my Jabos!!!
  3. My husband tried to reassure me that the pic was photoshopped. I still don't know but I hope he's right. This on the other hand ... the real thing ... no special effects at allllll
  4. Once they got their hands on all those popeyes they didn't want to give them up! That's great. I hoped it would turn out that way.
  5. I think that's a new box on me. The printer's plate is just plain neato.
  6. Whatever it is, I think it's a very cool item. Don't underestimate it just coz it's not worth millions! :) I wouldn't use that one non-selling ebay listing as an indicator of its monetary value either. If you were tempted to discard it, I'd look for second opinions. just sayin!
  7. Check out this catalog on the Bay. Again looks newer than your jar but I think the same company. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vtg-U-S-Stoneware-Catalog-Tygon-Jars-Towers-Masonry-/380125413424 This page explains how mill jars would be used. If you can read the fine print you'll see a reference to "Danish Flint Pebbles and Porcelain Balls" for use in the chemical pulverizing process.
  8. Hi Bob. The molten glass is usually hot enough as it drips onto the rollers for it to be smoothly rounded. Sometimes as hot as it is, it's not hot enough for all of the wrinkles to be smoothed out. That's when we get "cold rolls". IIUC!
  9. Different maker on this one but this is something along the lines of what I suspected because of the balls inside: http://www.ebay.com/itm/STONEWARE-GRINDING-MILL-JAR-CERAMIC-PAUL-O-ABBE-1-5-4-/370537521748
  10. This looks like it might be a newer version of what you have. I wonder why they call it a sauerkraut crock? http://www.ebay.com/...k-/280737990918 With the balls inside I wondered if it might be a grinding mill jar.
  11. now you're making me worry about what they mighta done to the poor kitty to get him to wear that thing!!!! Why isn't he hopping all around from having something on his foot?
  12. Does it say a town's name? Like Akron? Or is that my over-optimistic imagination?
  13. Akro Moss Agates. The kind some people call Aces. Some suggest those are the kind sold in Ringer Marble Set boxes but others dispute that. Ringer wasn't actually an Akro company name and the collectors' definition of "like popeyes with just one color instead of two" has proven problematic in my experience.
  14. It's listed as "Old Vintage" and pre-1970. Gremlin has been around long enough to know that's a contemporary marble.
  15. Hope they are decent enough to wrap them as well for the return as you did to send them.
  16. No opinion on the sale. Just a "for what it's worth". Sometimes real popeyes didn't twist, like the one on the right here. Popeye run. Just didn't cork.
  17. That's what I thought! No problem! I'll be ready. yeah right.
  18. (found while trying to find a birthday fish for JM ... still looking!)
