  1. By "different state", I meant "not Maine". That is, not the same state as the guy who we knew was making fake boxes. I noticed the Ohio, and was saying that you didn't seem like you were Pavcraz. No lie. Sorry for the miscommunication.
  2. I Wish! We don't get Fox! argh. I loved it when we got it. Totally hooked on Cowell. Would be again I'm sure. He's fun. I used to spurn reality TV. But I finally watched Survivor for the first time last fall. Now I can hardly wait for Thursday.
  3. Wow. What a gutsy thing to do. I'd almost be afraid to do that. Scott B. has been threatening to people here at this board. And according to him he has hurt at least one person in a very bad way. Srestep, that was brave of you. Very commendable. Thank you. But do be careful.
  4. Yeah, I bet that's it. Makes sense if the seller got the box from Pavcraz. Pavcraz so far has been THE source for these. He's the guy with the Akro stamps. And he puts them on all sorts of boxes. Every other example I've seen like this so far has traced back to him, sometimes through his alternate identities or his friend in Washington state, or one guy in the UK who was reselling something he bought from Pavcraz. That could very well be it. Heck, if I'd still been watching Pavcraz auctions, I woulda known. But I gave up on following him some time ago.
  5. Is that a hard one? or have people lost interest? :computer-17:
  6. Hope you have a great day! May many Kingfishers roll your way.
  7. Oxblood? . . (pix from Joe Street's site)
  8. This seller gives a different state as their address, whatever that might mean. Here's the auction. I guess linking to it can't count as a spoiler, since everyone seems to think it's already smelly. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180472476813
  9. Not the same guy - unless he's using a different ID, which wouldn't be the first time that happened. Hmmmm ... I should go look at that. Sometimes his alter egos have the same style. That's how I caught one of them. I think you could be right about that version of the flinties being earlier than popeyes. I'm not totally certain though that they didn't overlap, so I'll have to leave confirmation to someone else.
  10. Now that you mention other makers, that looks kinda like a Vitro Yellow Jacket at the lower left. Sometimes things slip in, even in legit lots, but this is rather a mix, ain't it. Yup, Fleabay.
  11. Okay. I have the basement and the old cans and the dirt. Now I need to get me one of them Akro stamps! But where? Akro Stamps R Us?
  12. We should learn from them! I do have a basement. And some old cans. And some Jabos. Pretty sure I can get some dirt to put the cans in. Hey, I'm almost ready for business!
  13. heehee Some people appreciate a little razzle dazzle. I GUESS! LOLOL They like getting caught up in the excitement, even if they don't really believe it. I GUESS! Just a theory.
  14. Oh boy. "Your friend". Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be able to schmooze with strangers. Alas, I will probably never know.
  15. Woodstock pic from Jabo Land. From auction:
  16. He has a Yahoo group called the Marble Collector's Club. I don't know if it is active. I've seen a few interesting things in his photo albums but have never tried to post there.
  17. Trivia: Herbie was Smitty's kid brother. One day I went through and found the story behind all the comic character marbles.
  18. That's not photoshop! I can see how someone could think it is, but these marbles are for real. Check out this website. It'll blow you away. http://www.glasskitchen.com/
  19. Truly amazing work. From conception to execution. I couldn't draw it on paper. Forget about making it happen in glass. You rock.
  20. White Pelts! oh yeah! Makes sense. I still know relatively little about slags so that's a FWIW sentiment but the double compartment bag which I posted in a couple of threads yesterday has feathered slags and it seems to be from a post-Gropper time. Berry Pink filed for the patent on that bag in 1931. He was working for Rosenthal at the time. (I'll try to make this be the last time I post this bag this week. ;-)
  21. Thank you for the marble mail. You know who you are. I don't know if you want your name mentioned so I'll leave that up to you! But thanks! I thought it was going to be one certain marble, which was already awesome. This assortment is going to be fun to go through. Brightened my day. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
