Naaaaa, that won't happen. Climb down off that whippin' post!! LOL.... There's a lot of encouragement here, Bill. I kinda like Felicia's idea of putting things away for a while. I've done that in the past and enjoyed coming back... David is just SOOO correct... This attitude is EVERYWHERE... Especially where there's money involved and even more especially when times are tough... It's hard to ignore the fakers... Just bear in mind that little of history is as clean cut as we'd like to think it is... Stick with what you like and enjoy. Avoid what your not sure of and try to keep up on knowing the difference... Jabos will roll and they too, will fit in... The world will go on...

I have a bunch of flat ones I'm going to make into buttons... I wonder if this is a new thing that the same company is making?? We'll all have to keep an eye out at the craft stores!!

I don't know a damned thing about these personal relationships... So, my response... This IS an awesome thread!!! I'm not really into these birds (Though, I do have a nice parrot..) But, I really AM into the idea of getting this sort of thing documented in one good solid place... Again, may I suggest that those with pictures contact Joe Street and get this stuff well documented at his site... He's put a lot of work into that site for this purpose... Let's all help him to fine tune it!!

This has been such a huge problem over the past 10 or so years!! Before the Internet, collectors in different areas had their own "lingo." When books were published, it caused some problems... The author would use the terms from their area and the rest of the country has to adapt... Who can dispute what an author says?? (She says rather sarcastically...) Now, we have the Internet and new collectors who are working REALLY hard to "Get It Right!!" We're turning country roads into super highways... Be patient!! There's still a few twists and turns that have to be worked out... It's not an exact science in every case... The trick is to know where it's really important to have it right....

(I'm not sure it's agreeing with Galen... But, maybe) Absolutely... There was a time when all this fluff was flying over collectors finding value in machine made marbles... Oh, the HORROR!!! There was a story going around that Larry Castle had a barn full of marble filled barrels. Once the craze peaked, he was gonna dump them all on the market and make millions!!! Right..... Wasn't poor Larry driving a bus shortly before he passed away?? I'm sure he WISHED he had those barrels... He led a tough life. But, managed to find simple joy in marbles... The very concept that he could market a new idea and maybe make some money off it, sure pissed some people off.... The sky is NOT falling..... Yet.

As far as I'm concerned Ron and Nancy ended the topic about the Alox run... Steve, I know you needed to get that off your chest. So, there it is. Since Brian began this, I hope he can take it as speaking for him, also... But, let's take Nancy into consideration... Brian, I apologize... (And, Steve, too) Had I known yesterday, what I know today... My responses would have been a little different. I hate it when discussions spill over here from other boards... That base blue is pretty... I don't wanna sound negative, but I'm not a fan of the gold color... (Kinda reminds me of the snotties...) Green would be cool!!! Would red look like purple in the blue?? Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, purrrrple!!! LOL
