  1. Are they about 1”?…if so then likely Bulgarian.
  2. Are you maybe trying to ask if the 4 color cats in your pics are new instead of old? Yes is the answer to that question I believe from what I can see
  3. By commemorative, what specifically do you mean? St Mary’s cats can be found in MK bags. There have been a couple of jobbers who have made dated sets of unique MK cats too (modern)
  4. Some of the Pennsboro Alleys are just like this. I never checked to see if they glow or not.
  5. I still think breaking open spray paint cans is the craziest way to get them. Hunting for really old spray paint cans just for the marbles is a whole nother level of dedication. Hazardous material day at the dump is a weird thing to get excited about
  6. Just acknowledging the transparent Veiligglas in these colors that Ric mentioned (I don’t think it is Veiligglas I just like threads with pics)
  7. Jeff-There’s clearly no red on that marble. I have several with yellow and the brown/purple color. Just saying. Some examples of that color combo
  8. Jeff-There’s clearly no red on that marble. I have several with yellow and the brown/purple color. Just saying.
  9. colors look the same to me on my computer (sometimes they look quite different which is so bizarre to me). I would guess Alley or CAC on the original one and its just my best guess, not a confident ID.
  10. Mine is white base, it’s just built in dirty looking is all. 9/16”
  11. I have this little guy that I assume is Alley which is same colors I suppose
  12. On my phone it looks like dark red that is brighter where it is thin with golden yellow. Now I wanna go look on my puter
  13. I don’t think I have a marble like it in my collection. I suppose some of the Champion NOF may be the closest I have, but I don’t think that’s what it is
  14. I think it is worthy of better pics and a size. Ric-was only adding the Veiligglas insight as I have a larger more diverse collection of them than most and add new ones all the time.
  15. I think maybe it was either made on dirty rollers or fell on dirty floor while being made if not burned. I just blew up your pic and noticed all the little specks.
  16. I haven’t seen a red/yellow opaque white Veiligglas before. Just sharing that insight. I think it is likely not Veiligglas.
  17. I haven’t seen a tan base one before (or is it burned white???) on the green one
  18. Yes it is documented Bogard stapling headers over old stock Heaton bags in the literature (probably PAM book). The opaques are not JABO. Most think they are likely Heaton (I still hold an undocumented thought that Bogard could have made a few simple opaque swirls), but Jack himself has no memory of Bogard making them.
  19. I only did it for a short while several years back. I opened more than 5 but probably less than 10. I also only found clearies and what looked like lead shot in the ones that weren’t marbles. I have heard of patterned marbles being found, but didn’t find any myself. Messy, fun, and dangerous when there is still propellant left.
  20. I have melted bottles in campfires many times. It takes several hours, but I am talking about relatively small campfires burning for probably less than 12 hours. Just saying. I can’t explain the chemistry, but have seen it happen repeatedly. Very deformed bottles from campfire heat alone.
  21. There are still a variety of cateye makers in foreign countries both past and present that we have zero info about. There are several that we have a glimpse into what they made too. Some we know a fair amount about. Just sharing that general info. A ton of international research still needs to take place all over the globe.
  22. I have bought all 3 colors of that box with Ravenswoods in them. Just sharing that info.
  23. Just showing a couple examples
